How to Choose a Size
The quietest dehumidifier we could find in the UK is the Acekool 1000 ml Dehumidifier and Air Purifier, which has a noise level of just 25 dB according to the manufacturer. This product is inexpensive and very quiet, but also not very powerful (it can only extract 350 ml of water a day). Running costs vary depending on the size, make and model of dehumidifier you opt for, and due to its compact size, relatively low extraction rate, and Peltier condenser, the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini dehumidifier uses a lot less energy than most. Dehumidifiers are the best way to reduce humidity in your home and many are cost effective and energy efficient. They range from bathroom dehumidifiers to compact ones for your car and even ones you can control from your mobile phone. Small dehumidifiers are ideal for flats or smaller spaces, while the bigger models can dehumidify a five-bedroom property or a small business space.
That extraction level may not sound like much, and this certainly isn't a dehumidifier that can cope with large damp problems or help to dry washing.
