About this deal

When you use the add-on while in edit mode, at the moment the mesh vertices and their position before modifiers will be used. So it will ignore the modifiers of the object you want to move, if you are in edit mode. Target highlighting does not work with 'Ignore modifiers' enabled. I plan to investigate new ways to ignore modifiers that might allow highlighting in that situation. By default, enable the tool by using Ctrl+Shift+V (For Vertex). Watch out if you have multiple keyboards to your windows settings, Ctrl+Shift will cycle the active keyboard. New: The tool now works when no object/point is selected. It behaves differently depending if you are in Edit or in Object mode:

A pie menu allows you to change the type of point you snap from/to. Use the same hotkey as the one you use to start the tool to display the menu. New: You can change the snap target type using hotkeys: 1: Vertices/curve points, 2:Edge centers, 3:Face centers, O: Origins

With the tool enabled use the same hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+V by default) to open the pie menu and chose what you snap from*to (Vertices and curve points / edge midpoints / face centers) With the option 'Use vertices Auto-Merge in Edit mode' enabled, vertices will merge automatically with vertices at the same location after a snap. It can be completely disabled in the addon preferences. In edit mode the points under the mouse will be moved, and eventually merged if edit mode auto-merge is enabled. Disable the 'Highlight target vertex edges' in the addon preferences. Figuring out the target vertex edges require the addon to process the target object with all its modifiers. If the object has heavy modifiers, it might cause a little hang. Hide objects you don't want to snap onto. Whenever the mouse gets close to an object in the viewport, all the vertices of that objects are added to the list of potential snap target. THat happens even if the object is quite far or hidden behind another object (It is hard to predict if you would want or not to snap on that object). If you hide those objects, then they would be completely ignored.

A pie menu allows you to change the type of point you snap from/to. Use the same hotkey as the one you use ot open the tool to display the menu. Enable the 'Ignore object modifiers' in the add-on preferences. Watch out, as this will currently ignore all modifiers, including symmetry, I plan to add options to chose which modifiers to ignore in the future, but this is what I have at the moment. As explained in the description, this add-on does work really smoothly when your scene is heavy, or has quite heavy modifiers. Since I am not making any money from this addon I can't promise I will have time to implement it, but I will definitely consider it. Known issues / limitation: Highlight target vertex edges, as well as potential target edge midpoint and target facecenters for better readabilityNew: The tool can now be used in orthographic view (Triggered by "5" on the numpad), and in local mode (Triggered by "/" on the numpad, isolates the selection)

Put the sprinkler in the best spot and leave it there--forever. It will automatically pop up when the water is turned on and disappear underground when you turn it off. It will water the same area you set, year after year. These are easy to install, easy to adjust, and easy to move when you want to. It takes 10 minutes to install, and you're done. This industrial strength sprinkler is guaranteed for five years. With the option 'Use vertices Auto-Merge in Edit mode' enabled, vertices will merge automatically with vertices at the same location after a snap. Automatically display wireframe of the mesh you are snapping to and the wireframe of the object right under the mouse (Can be turned off) If the video is not playing for you, you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/9cWV0JELM88 Update Notes:The sprinkler comes to you set at its furthest distance. Your water pressure determines how far the spray will go. To shorten the distance for the green-nozzle model , insert the key into the flow control dial (it indicates ON and OFF) and turn left. You can shorten the distance down to almost nothing. However, the less water that flows through the sprinkler the slower the sprinkler rotates because there is so little flow pushing the gears. At its shortest setting, it looks like the turret is not rotating at all--but it is.
