About this deal

Last but not least, on the left side is a trigger safety to help reduce an accidental shooting. Hyper balls will sting at close range, so while a safety may seem silly, it could protect an eye or two. Performance Outblast and outlast with the revolutionary Nerf Hyper system! Nerf Hyper blasters feature extreme speed and keep you blasting with massive round capacity! Another blaster named after an epic Greek Titan god, the Nerf Rival Prometheus is a monstrous and heavy-hitting war machine! In fact, it is one of the biggest Nerf blasters on the market! Unlike the Siege, the Evolve doesn’t have slam-fire, which is one of the reasons it is further down this list.

The blaster runs off 8 AA batteries and includes a functioning red dot optic, a very nice comfortable rubber grip on the handle, and 12 full-length and 12 half-length darts. While it has the familiar color theme, it is one of the biggest blaster in the series, and the only battery-powered one. To operate the Mach, 6 D Type batteries are required and are not included.

Factors That Affect the Power of a Nerf Gun

This smooth-firing shotgun is the only gun in the series that features slam-fire, which allows to increase the fire rate by holding the trigger while pumping. The power output of a spring-loaded Nerf blaster is determined by the strength of the spring. Most Nerf-brand blasters use rather weak springs which you upgrade yourself to increase power. However, some blasters—such as our top choice for the most powerful blaster, the Caliburn—are prebuilt using insanely resistant springs.

If you want the pump style of the Siege with the ammo capacity of the Mach, the new Nerf Hyper Evolve-100 is perfect for you.

Final Thoughts

Just like the Perses, this literal minigun shoots eight Rival Rounds per second at an insane 100 FPS!

Softer materials like foam absorb more of the impact force than harder materials like rubber. So ideally if you want your blaster to hit hard, you’ll want to use a denser material that doesn’t squish. One downside is that Hasbro didn’t make the grip space between the trigger and rails big enough. You can’t to get two hands on it and will have to hold the bottom or front of the tactical rails for additional control.
