There are a few bricks above the window that have vertical lines in them, and those lines are more defined out of the Lumix than out of any of the others, though the Sigma is quite good as well. I started looking at pictures before I realized they were taken with a Sony camera and my first thought was, not pleasing or nice looking at all.The lens comes with a nice padded lens case plus strap, the lens hood is included, reversible for transport, and has a lock to prevent it from accidentally falling off. Open twitter, instrgram, and facebook applications (or any three different browsers) on the same monitor and compare them sis-by-side - each will render different variations on color.

The point is to represent a level playing field as panther suggested, showing manual lenses without any corrections against corrected lenses is the only exception where showing everything after corrections (which is what most will see) would be somewhat misrepresentative IMO. Looking more at the background shows the lens enjoys smooth rendering of blurred areas with no busy-ness or other distracting artefacts. When shooting at wider apertures it's common for lenses to exhibit cat's eye with the bokeh formed by specular highlights, an effect that's caused by the lens barrel blocking incoming light. It’s amazing how much optical design has improved even in the six years since Sony first launched the G Master series, but the 24-70 f2. However, there are also plenty of differences between the two models, especially in terms of camera and imaging features. Now on the previous Mark I model, I found the quality gradually reduced as the focal length increased, but Sony appears to have banished those demons here. With that, let’s take a look at how all five of these lenses performed at 24mm and wide open at f/2. For L mount there’s only one alternative from Panasonic but in case Sigma manages in the future to adapt their new lens for Canon’s EOS R and Nikon’s Z system too I’ve included the native 24-70mm zoom lenses from both manufacturers.
