The VP-8x8 is a high-performance matrix switcher for computer graphics video signals, with resolutions up to and exceeding UXGA on 15-pin HD connectors. It can route any or all inputs to any or all outputs simultaneously. Multiple Control Methods – system management via front-panel pushbuttons, IR, RS-232 and Ethernet (Telnet / Web GUI) connections Along with video, audio, and Ethernet, DigitalMedia also provides for the routing of USB HID (Human Interface Device) signals, allowing a USB HID compliant keyboard and/or mouse at one location to control a computer or media server at another location. USB HID connectivity is provided through select DM receivers, transmitters, and input cards. The maximum cable length for DigitalMedia 8G Single-Mode Fiber (DM 8G SM Fiber) is 7.5 miles (12 km) using CRESFIBER8G-SM or third-party G.652.D (or better) single-mode fiber optic cable.
