About this deal

Yesterday, more barks bark couldn’t hurt. Oh and you go this, isn’t the perfect way to do it? It’s good. First time it seems to be see. Is he burning a lot of moisture in this wood, though success success? Sixteen ounces of water start technically, that’s a boil at 4 minutes and 39 seconds. So we’ll see what we get for a rolling boil, not just bubbles. It’s generally not recommended to use a wood stove inside a tent or shelter unless the stove is specifically designed and approved for indoor use. Using a wood stove indoors without proper ventilation can pose safety risks. Hot ashes can still fall around the edges and get underneath your Ohuhu, so you need to clear out flammable debris from the area you plan to place it on. Most people overlook this, but it’s important. Ohuhu lists information about this in the manual. With the stove stowed inside the pot, there is still some empty space. I use this space to store some Esbit fuel tabs and matches. Even though I don’t use the Esbit fuel much, it is nice to have some fuel immediately handy. This makes for a really elegant, self-contained solution. The Bottom Line Note: newer Ohuhu stoves than mine appear to come with a grill grate, as well. Fueling the Ohuhu Camp Stove

Use an ignition source. This could be an electric starter, which is what a butane burner is going to use, or you might need matches, a lighter, or friction to start a wood-burning stove’s fuel source. This single burner butane/propane stove can hook up to the tank and screw right on top, and then use the fuel inside right away. This is the most direct fuel-to-fire portable stove on our list. That being said, you don’t have a starter with this, so you have to ignite the flame yourself. They can all be used at once if that’s what you want to do, or you can leave a few components at home to make this even lighter if achieving an ultralight bug out bag is what you’re all about. That’s because on paper, one of them looks like the clear winner. But it’s a different story in the real world. Don’t miss the last section where I share my surprising experience with both. The one I thought was going to win failed miserably!

Where to Buy

That’s to reach up to 550 degrees, while keeping the exterior of the cooker cooled to the touch. The vacuum tube also works as an insulator to keep the food hot, and it also uses a thermal heating element in the base of the cooking tray. The heating element needs a 12 volt battery to cook a full meal and is encased in a stainless steel cover news, versatile cooker, weighs six point: two kilograms and five times more efficient than a traditional electric oven, fading up to six people. It’s easy to set up and operate, which gets brownie points. One surprising feature is the three fold-out metal pegs that hold onto a soup pot or a frying pan, because they’re actually quite strong all things considered. Electric units have interior inverters that turn 110V currents into usable electricity as it disperses it to coils within the electric stove, and that takes a while to heat up. The metal coils are heavy. No matter what way you look at it, it’s just not a good idea. Since I was curious to see just how much the Ohuhu would damage what was underneath it, I placed it on a ¾” piece of plywood.

Still smokes with dry fuel and the grill grate. Not as bad, but it does still smoke. It's like putting a pot that close to the gas vents chokes it, which isn't surprising because even with a little Esbit pot there's only about .5" or less around it to draw air down. You can use the grill grate with the taller pot holder without the smoking problem, though. It drops right down on it and works fine this way if you want to grill something. It could be that it was designed to work this way all along. Whatever. Still a solid recommendation. When you’re cooking in the great outdoors with your wood-burning stove, safety is of the utmost priority. Be sure to always place your wood-burning stove on a completely flat surface. This can sometimes be hard to find, so you might have to move aside some dirt and brush to create a flat space. If you place your stove on an uneven surface, it may accidentally tip over while it is lit, which can be a dangerous fire hazard. Like I said, though, all the available fuel was very wet. This might not happen otherwise. Next opportunity I get I'll try it again with dry fuel and update the review. While camping wood stoves are great, they do have a few disadvantages. The main one being they require much more work to get going. Not only will you have to start a fire, but you’ll have to maintain it while cooking. This can be particularly problematic if you’re camping in a humid, rainy, or windy location.
