About this deal

No fragrance or EOs. Although, it has a scent coming from ingredients which is a bit unfamiliar, however, it does not linger. Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients. Most people will find no issues with sulfate, however if you find your skin doesn't like sulfates then free feel to avoid them by looking out for the sulfate-free icon on Skincarisma.

SPF50+ PA++++ ( verified SPF 57.6 and PFA 23.5 PA++++ by Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences) Iscotrizinol or Uvasorb HEB protects again UVB and some UVA rays. It’s excellent in water-resistant formulas, only losing 10% of its protection abilities after 25 hours! Works well with makeup and other skincare products. It doesn’t pill. Make sure to hydrate and prep your skin well if you’re dry or dehydrated! It's a new generation sunscreen agent that was specifically designed for high SPF and good UVA protectionand based on a 2007 study that compared 18 sunscreen agents available in the EU it really had the best SPF protection(they used the highest concentration allowed by EU regulations from each 18 sunscreens and Trinosorb S gave an SPF 20 all by itself). The addition of Centella Asiatica Extract and Bambusa Vulgaris Water is a thoughtful touch, helping to soothe irritated skin, which is especially beneficial after a long day out in the sun. Parsol SLX protects against UVB rays and is silicone based, which gives it a nice texture and non-shiny finish. Like Tinosorb M, it’s stable and can help stabilize other filters as well. With that said, this AXIS-Y one is the only untinted mineral sunscreen I will wear. Its only issue is a minor white cast which does fade eventually on my NC20 skin tone. Otherwise it doesn't pill, feels comfortable on the skin, and leaves a nice satin finish. It doesn’t dry out or the skin and it’s not mattifying either. I can get away with using minimal steps before like a toner, essence and have my skin feel enough moisturized. Those with dry skin can use a face cream if the sunscreen is not enough. On the other hand, if your skin is oily and you live somewhere humid maybe a mattifying sunscreen would be a better choice so you don’t look shiny. Applying this sunscreen will not make your skin look brighter, but it will prevent dullness that’s associated with UV damage. Nor will this sunscreen make your wrinkles look less noticeable, but it will delay new fine lines from forming (again due to UV damage).

Everybody’s darling centella asiatica, plus niacinamide and panthenol. No essential oils, fragrance or alcohol denat. This should be nice and soothing. Water, Dibutyl Adipate, Propanediol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Polysilicone-15, Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Niacinamide, Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Vanilla Tahitensis Fruit Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Water, Centella Asiatica Extract, Caprylyl Methicone, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Silica, Poly C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Sodium Acrylates Crosspolymer-2, Decyl Glucoside, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Adenosine, Panthenol, Dipropylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Behenyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum For something so potent, the texture is surprisingly not heavy. It won't be as light as the previous 3 sunscreens, but it still feels comfortable on the skin with no white cast, so it will work for all skin tones. It's also water, sweat, and even sand resistant, making it the perfect outdoor sunscreen. Additionally, products that may contain ingredients that have shown to feed Malassezia may not neccessarily exacerbate the condition due to concentration of ingredient used in the product, this information is simply not available on the products. For the same reasons they are popularly used, they are also commonly avoided. Anecdotally, many individuals have reported that Silicones cause/excerbate breakouts, irritation, cause a feeling of skin being unable to breathe, cause clumping of cosmetic products and find it difficult to wash off. As a result, those who find them problematic are avoiding them and increasingly, cosmetic companies are avoiding them as well. They are incredibly photostable, which means they don’t lose their protection factor when exposed to UV rays (I’m looking at you Avobenzone!). Madecassoside can also help in burn wound healing through increasing antioxidant activity and enhancing collagen synthesis. Asiaticoside was shown to increase antioxidant levels on rats skin when applied at 0.2%. Uvinul A Plus (UVA protection, photostable), Tinosorb S (broad-spectrum, photostable), Tinosorb M (broad-spectrum, photostable), Uvinul T 150 (highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today), Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone (Iscotrizinol/Uvasorb HEB) (UVB/UVA I), Polysilicone-15 (Parsol SLX) (UVB). With a generous amount of powder over foundation – but it looks really good, no? (If you excuse the sliiiiightly wrong shade match of foundation I’m wearing.)
