Restaurant Week is Norfolk’s largest dining event, a gastronomic celebration of our vibrant restaurant scene, fine food, and the people, land and sea who produce it.

Sitting on Sundays or being a couch potato on Saturdays is definitely a boring plan. Move out and make memories. Discover the best things to do this weekend in Norfolk, foodie things, artistic love or just aimlessly cycling! Enjoy street battle re-enactments, torchlight parades, boat burning and lots of great family entertainment. One is based on the Eastern Region Model Calendar and the other is an alternative for Norfolk. If this alternativeoption is agreed following consultation,it wouldmean that we would have different dates than our neighbouring counties of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, mainly at the start of the Spring term. On Saturday there will be all-day entertainment from 10am, along with craft and product stalls, and in the evening at 5pm you can enjoy the arrival ofSanta at Wells Quay by boat. The kids can also meet Santa in his grotto at Wells Maltings during the evening of 25th and all day Sunday 26th November. Burnham Market Christmas Market The Kings Lynn Mart, which has been pitching up in the centre of the town for more than 800 years, includes traditional fair rides and stalls as well as more adrenalin-inducing rides like the Tornado.

Maui Waui is a 3 day and 4 night international festival of music, performance and arts. Maui Waui focuses on an all welcoming family feel with lots to do for kids and adults, from watching world class bands, full circus shows in a dedicated circus tent, big bass dance tents, small upbeat bands and acoustic acts, cabaret, comedy and the Americana Day on Sunday. Festival of Bowls Walsingham Abbey is one of the best places to see snowdrops in Norfolk. Carpets of snowdrops and other winter flowers cover over 18 acres of woodland around the Abbey and along the banks of the River Stiffkey, which meanders through the grounds. The Sandringham Game & Country Fair showcases the best of Norfolk with a range of crafts and food stalls, outdoor demonstrations of country sports, live music, wildlife activities, steam and vintage engines and lots of family fun. Out There International Festival of Circus & Street Art The 90+ plein airartists of Paint Out Norfolk are visiting as part of their annual tour ofcities and towns, coast and countryside. The rolling exhibition of around 100 fresh artworks will be on display each day and 200+ on the final day drawn from 600+ created during the week. Raveningham Sculpture Trail The Norwich Tunnel of Light has wowed visitors to Norfolk since 2016. With more than 57,000 LED lights on display and over five miles of cabling, this light show creates a sparkling festive scene in the centre of Norwich city.The Gin and Rum Festival is coming to Norwich on its tour of the UK. Distillers and producers will be showcasing the best of the rum and gin, with free samples on offer. There will be guides sharing knowledge and talks and masterclasses from renowned makers. Music from an award-winning DJ and great live entertainment will help the night go with a bang! The Crab and Lobster Festival brings the seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham together to celebrate the world-famous seafood caught in the seas off both coastal resorts. This seafood spectacular includes concerts, cookery theatre, art and seafood trails with over 35 local eateries taking part. Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture, bringing together local people, organisations and volunteers. Every year in September, people come together across the counties of England to celebrate their heritage, community and history. Stories are told, traditions explored and histories brought to life. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences around Norfolk. Hop on board BVR’s festive express steam train and enjoy a one hour experience from Aylsham station, which includes festive treats, a 30 minute steam train ride and a visit to see Santa in his grotto. The main carnival procession will take place on Wednesday 2nd of August.Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!” Choose from the Jingle All Day experience which includes a visit to Father Christmas and his elves at the North Pole, or the Sparkle in the Dark experience, where your journey takes you from the festive forest to the North Pole where you’ll meet Mother Christmas at her Gingerbread kitchen, before travelling through the magical lights towards Christmas Cottage. Wroxham Barns – The Christmas Experience This July West Acre Gallery will fling its doors open once again, this time for its first ever summer exhibition. As well as mingling with writers between readings, audience members are also invited to join them for lunch in nearby restaurants on both the Saturday and Sunday.Headliners for this event include Kit Wright, Wendy Cope and Hugo Williams.
