It took about 10 mins to cook and thicken in the pot and then when I tasted it it's bland and then a kick of spice at the end. The Naked Rice range is focused on delivering a convenient, authentic taste experience which can be enjoyed at home or on the go.

First, this came in a huge tub so I expected this to contain more than the usual rice/noodle pots, but no. I filled with boiling water to the first line for a more intense flavour but I found it lacked the depth of proper katsu. If you do require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label.

Easy to prepare, but the rice went a bit stodgy, I'd leave it for less than the recommended 5 minutes. I filled up to the line - about 3/4 up the pot - stirred, put the foil lid back over to keep the heat in, the rice obviously swelled up after absorbing the water, and almost filled the pot.
