About this deal

Versatile zeolite (clinoptilolite) has many detoxifying benefits and is also used in many industries to remove toxic pollutants. Heavy metals such as mercury, lead, aluminium and cadmium, volatile organic compounds and radionuclides are drawn into the structure of each superfine zeolite particle where they are captured and permanently bonded.

Zeolite can be used in bone tissue engineering as zeolites can deliver oxygen to cells, stimulate osteogenic cell differentiation, and can inhibit bone resorption. R The figure on the right compares the typical framework structures of LTA (left) and FAU (right). Both zeolites share the truncated octahedral structure ( sodalite cage) (purple line). However, the way they are connected (yellow line) is different: in LTA, the four-membered rings of the cage are connected to each other to form a skeleton, while in FAU, the six-membered rings are connected to each other. As a result, the pore entrance of LTA is an 8-ring (0.41nm [4]) and belongs to the small pore zeolite, while the pore entrance of FAU is a 12-ring (0.74nm [4]) and belongs to the large pore zeolite, respectively. Materials with a 10-ring are called medium pore zeolites, a typical example being ZSM-5 (MFI). Zeo Natural’s products are made from pure, premium quality, superfine (micronised) Australian Organic Certified zeolite powder.Auerbach SM, Carrado KA, Dutta PK, eds. (2003). Handbook of Zeolite Science and Technology. Boca Raton: CRC Press. p.16. ISBN 9780824740207. The way zeolite is used has evolved throughout the centuries. At one point, the Ancient Romans used it as a material to build bridges. Today it is used in farming, agriculture, household, and personal cleaning products and more. The mineral compound is also widely used in modern medicine. Medical Uses of Zeolite

Elmore AR, Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert P. Final report on the safety assessment of aluminum silicate, calcium silicate, magnesium aluminum silicate, magnesium silicate, magnesium trisilicate, sodium magnesium silicate, zirconium silicate, attapulgite, bentonite, Fuller’s earth, hectorite, kaolin, lithium magnesium silicate, lithium magnesium sodium silicate, montmorillonite, pyrophyllite, and zeolite. Int J Toxicol. 2003;22 Suppl 1:37-102. Anti-Aging: Zeolite has antioxidant properties that may help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. This may help slow down the aging process and reduce the risk of age-related diseases. Our Chabazite (CHA) structured zeotypes are primarily used for automotive emission control, as well as in chemical processes such as conversion of methanol to olefins. The zeolites are also suitable for adsorption purposes, including hydrocarbon adsorption heat management, and active carbon replacement. Clariant’s innovative zeolite powder with the Chabazite structure type is CZC (TiAPSO-34). Some zeolites such as erionite may cause cancer (erioite has similar properties to asbestos, causing lung cancer and malignant mesothelioma). R R R R In this post, we will discuss where zeolites come from, its benefits/downsides, and where to get zeolite. Contents:

In agriculture, clinoptilolite (a naturally occurring zeolite) is used as a soil treatment. It provides a source of slowly released potassium. If previously loaded with ammonium, the zeolite can serve a similar function in the slow release of nitrogen. Pond WG, Yen JT. Zeolites have the potential of providing precise and specific separation of gases, including the removal of H 2O, CO 2, and SO 2 from low-grade natural gas streams. Other separations include noble gases, N 2, O 2, freon, and formaldehyde.
