About this deal

Alternatively, if you’re looking to make the most of Treelords, Spirits of Durthu and Treelord Ancients , Oakenbrow lets you keep fighting at peak efficiency for longer, representing the storied resilience of this grove. Orruks love to prove their might over the many monsters that inhabit the Mortal Realms, though very few do it with quite as much panache as Grikk and his vagabond Kruleshots. With vile venom-encrusted bolts, these kunnin’ killers will happily skewer any problem they’re pointed at – as long as they get paid by a DESTRUCTION warlord.* There you have it, the final armies for the Sylvaneth book; after creating multiple armies within it I think there are some great ways to play the army, though you need to plan your tree placement carefully and plan your teleports well. Warsong Revenant also remains pretty much the same, losing his knowledge of the whole lore but remaining a very potent wizard (the only straight source of +1 to cast) with 2 casts and his great warscroll spell, rolling dice equal to the casting roll and doing mws on 5+. The 4 up ward will keep him hanging around, and as you will see, there are plenty of Enhancements that will find a great home in him. He also has a 12″ +1 bravery to friendlies and -1 to enemies aura which, weirdly, kinda combos well with Drycha’s warscroll spell – and also the Skullroot. Bravery buffs are always welcome too as a way to just avoid having to use Inspiring Presence. SET-UP: After territories are determined, you can set up this faction terrain feature wholly within your territory and more than 3" from all objectives and other terrain features. If both players can set up faction terrain features at the same time, they must roll off and the winner chooses who sets up their faction terrain features first.

This is best for fragile units like Tree-Revenants and Spite-Revenants who can hit hard, but who may get turned into tinderwood on the counter.*** At the start of the hero phase, heal 1 wound to each friendly Sylvaneth unit wholly within 9” of awakened wood or overgrown territoryThis book contains everything you need to know to lead Alarielle's verdant children to victory in your games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and discover their place in the Mortal Realms. Learn the long history of these immortal guardians of Ghyran, explore the complex ecosystem that governs the forest folk, and meet the mysterious glades that wage war in the name of Life itself. AWA K E N E D W Y L D W O O DFACTION TERRAIN: Only Sylvaneth armies can include this faction terrain feature. There’s a lot to take in here. Having noodled on it all for a few days, I think the book’s strengths lie in tanky, reliable damage units that have surprising mobility – but the best combos in the book require a lot of careful positioning and over-lapping failable effects – i.e. there’s a risk one part of your plan falls through and ruins the synergy. At the start of the hero phase, heal one wound to each friendly Sylvaneth unit wholly within 9” of awakened wood or overgrown territory Stormcast Eternals • Orruk Warclans • Maggotkin of Nurgle • Fyreslayers • Idoneth Deepkin • Nighthaunt • Daughters of Khaine • Skaven • Sylvaneth • Disciples of Tzeentch • Sons of Behemat • Lumineth Realm-lords • Ogor Mawtribes • Slaves to Darkness • Beasts of Chaos • Gloomspite Gitz • Kharadron Overlords • Blades of Khorne • Hedonites of Slaanesh • Ossiarch Bonereapers • Soulblight Gravelords • Seraphon • Cities of Sigmar • Flesh-Eater CourtsIn war, the Lady of Vines is a force of nature. Her martial song ensures the Forest Folk are Roused to Wrath , causing vengeful Dryads to sprout and bloom directly into the midst of battle. Once per game, you can use this ability by rolling a dice – on a 2+, you summon a fresh crop of Dryads from a suitable forest , ready to fight to the death.*** Tallying up the souls gathered for Nagash is an important business, and only the cruellest bookkeepers get to spend the rest of eternity as a tortured Scriptor Mortis. These eldritch archivists use their otherworldly powers to mark enemies for death and ensure their souls reach their destined place among the Great Necromancer’s underworld empire. The Dwindling: In the hero phase you can re-roll 1 casting roll, 1 unbinding roll, and 1 dispel roll as well as the wizard is Sylvaneth and wholly within 9” of an overgrown territory or Awakened Wyldwood.

In the hero phase, if a spell is successfully cast by a unit wholly within 6" of this terrain feature and not unbound, roll a dice for each unit within 1" of this terrain feature that does not have the Sylvaneth keyword. On a 5+, that unit suffers D3 mortal wounds after that spell’s effects have been resolved.

Sylvaneth have been a troubled faction for a while in Age of Sigmar – a beautiful but relatively small model range, endlessly tweaked faction terrain rules (and let’s not get started on transporting those wyldwoods) and almost all competitive lists lists built around the dominant ‘Warsong Bomb’ combo. The Sylvaneth are as varied as the Mortal Realms themselves, and the new battletome allows you to express their dizzying diversity with no fewer than 7 sub-factions you can dedicate your army to! Called Glades, each has an ability, command trait, artefact and command ability to master, offering new twists on the army and rewarding you for using themed lists and favourite units. The terrifying forces of Dreadwood, for example, are perfect for fans of Spite-Revenants. Their only salvation lies with the Emperor’s Angels of Death, and so the call is made – but it appears someone far less savoury may be listening in… Find out what fate befalls the brave souls of the Astra Militarum in this epic featurette, which arrives on Wednesday.
