I tasted this wine with a friend of mine and he suggested that this wine might go well with a dessert that’s not overly sweet. Like a pastry or non-sugary apple pie. According to the bottle, Lindemans Bin 50 Shiraz can be served “young and fresh.” In other words, no need to cellar this wine. In 1843, Dr Lindeman, an upstanding man of formidable character, started his own winery. In doing so, he set his sights on civilising a colony of hard-drinking ruffians by introducing them to more gentlemanly pursuits, such as the enjoyment of a refined drop. The wine’s flavor was smooth with overtones of ripe plum and dark cherry. Some mellow spice was also noticed.A gentleman does not use a thousand words when ten good ones will suffice. He uses a thousand words only when reciting verse or quoting a person far less succinct. A gentleman is well versed in many topics, but he never shows off his expertise. Those familiar with his intellect do not need to be reminded. Those unfamiliar will bear of it in due course. That covers most. Overall this is a very enjoyable Shiraz. It’s not too complex but it does have a lot of presence. It’s rich and really hits you over the head with its flavor.

A gentleman avoids all topics religious or political, and especially topics that are religiously political (and vice versa). He is an expert at steering conversation away from that kind of thorny terrain. A gentleman never mind or eyes wander during conversation. He is an excellent listener. Proficient at both well-deployed witticisms and engaged silence. He does not interrupt, and has never been successfully interrupted.A great find but why is it called Gentleman's Collection ?? It is great on its own or with meals . Have recommended it to many friends !!! and I am female !!! In theory, a bad cork can let in air, which isn’t good. The twist tops shouldn’t. Of course nothing’s really fool-proof.
