About this deal

Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty The JR2 acoustic and the JR1 also are very similar when it comes to their appointments. As with the previous section, there's no real winner here, as both guitars have the same appointments. Here's what you get with either:

SUMMARY: The FG JR-1 is a great starter guitar for kids ages 7 to 11. It is affordable, has a good sound and is fun to play. Nothing jumps out as “stage-ready.” Then again, the JR1 is not a guitar you would take to play live or use to record at your home studio. Its size is restrictive for players with large hands, amateurs will prefer the JR1 over a full-sized model. The Cort Earth Mini OP has a surprising spec considering its price, with features you’d normally find on models two or three times the price. For a beginner guitar player, you’ll be hard pushed to find such a high-quality guitar elsewhere.

Because of its small size, if you are taller than five feet, or have average or large hands, I can't give it five stars. If you know enough about guitars and think you can handle a guitar this size, I would give it five stars, especially for a small child. As if the quality and price weren’t enough to convince people, Yamaha has thrown a complimentary gig bag into the deal.

And really, for the price, this is a guitar that the 11-year-old could easily find themselves playing as an adult. That, alone, makes the Affinity Series Telecaster a bargain worth considering. The action is adequate, with no buzz and not one dead fret. There’s some fiddling need done around the nut, but that’s negligible; however, if you think your child can’t handle the action, ask a professional to help you.As far as the feel goes, the fretboard is smooth and the frets well-dressed, so no problem there. Sound However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. Sure, make no mistake about it, the Affinity Series Telecaster isn’t built like a premium Fender. But, it uses the same designs with affordable components to keep the barrier to entry low for anyone to access. Ask any guitarist 15 years ago and they would have said to stay away from Squier’s Affinity Series Telecaster models. The guitars were the epitome of poor craftsmanship and possessed a massive account of horror stories.

There’re other cheap guitars you might, is that what piques your interest. For now, consider the FG Junior as a great option for kids boosting quality materials of the series’ proprietary X-bracing design. It’s important to note that this guitar can’t compete with full-bodied guitar in terms of output. If you want a loud, boomy guitar, go for a standard dreadnought. If, on the other hand, you find the full-scale guitars to be bulky and uncomfortable, and would rather have something scaled-down, the Yamaha JR1 is your thing. One of the most important things you need to account for is the actual size of your 11-year-old. If most guitars are too cumbersome or awkward, consider looking for smaller-sized guitars. If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered
