About this deal

What plagues the U8Q is motion. The Ultra Smooth Motion feature should be turned on, as terrestrial signals can be rather staccato without it, but the U8Q doesn’t handle motion with a huge degree of confidence.

I think it works well. Vocals are prioritised and it’s easy to understand what’s being said. It’s not particularly wide or tall, but the Theatre option is there for a more expansive presentation. Vocals, however, are less emphasised. This cookie is set by the Bazaarvoice. Hisense | 55U8HQTUK 55 Inch Quantum Dot 1300-nit 4K HDR10

Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits) By and large the Hisense U8Q is an attractive-looking set. Available in 55- and 65-inch models, the bezel is unobtrusive, and the build quality is what I’d call robust. From the V-shaped pedestal – which unless you have a compact soundbar does restrict placement of sound systems in front of the TV – to the fetching material that covers the integrated front-firing speakers, the U8Q is a well put-together set.You are not permitted to transfer, assign or otherwise dispose of this EULA which is personal to you, or any of your rights or obligations arising under this EULA without the prior written consent of Hisense. Percentage Luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output HDR on the Hisense U8H has over 1400 nits in the most accurate picture mode, although haloing and blooming are issues within certain scenes and become distracting at times, with blooming suppression hindering small highlight areas by making them darker to try and mitigate haloing around them. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU, WHETHER IN CONTRACT OR TORT OR OTHERWISE, FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, INTEREST, BUSINESS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, ATTORNEY FEES, EXPENSES, OR ANY OTHER LOSS OR DAMAGES, INCLUDING PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, ANY SMART SERVICES CONTAINED IN, OR AS A RESULT OF THE USE, OF THE DEVICE, OR ANY SMART SERVICES ACCESSED OR USED BY YOU, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGES. HDR peak brightness and full-field numbers are impressive and in a normal living room that offers excellent levels of dynamics and a rich colourful performance with most content. Only really dark scenes will catch out the U8QF and its aggressive local dimming. SDR content from everyday TV viewing is also very good with a fairly accurate image out of the box with very nice looking colours and no obvious issues.
