About this deal

A completely unputdownable, jaw-on-the-floor psychological thriller for fans of Girl on the Train, Gone Girl and The Couple at No. You’ll head to a new housing estate in Peel, a small fishing town on the west coast of the Isle of Man, an island in the middle of the Irish Sea where ‘blending’ takes on a whole new meaning! This is a very complicated story, which seems to be very straightforward on the surface; so very skilfully written. One night when his wife and kids were away, we went to see a movie about a giant meteor heading for Earth.

She has always been on the high frequency side but now that I don’t get hard too often it is more notorious. I was swallowed whole by “The Wife Next Door” just like Alice in Wonderland and along with the many red herrings and rabbit holes I found this book to be a highly entertaining journey. My initial reaction from the first chapters, where everything seemed to good to be true and naive, made more sense after the ending. The slow start actually suited this story and the reader will just want to keep on turning the pages to find out what is actually going on.All the mental gymnastics I’d gone through earlier trying to figure out the culprit’s identity were no longer necessary. I think it would be much less entertaining for all of us if this goes very smoothly, we all need a few bumps along the way to keep us engaged and entertained. I felt as though I was on a thrilling ride throughout the story and then there is an almighty twist that you would of never seen coming.

No, its not nice to sleep with other people, if you were someone I know I would immediately tell your husband. This book had a good pace, particularly I thought the flashbacks to Cynthia, Les and younger Jane really supported the main plot. Rob finances the arrangement and Jess will live in one of them with Ben, her new partner, and his daughter, Ruby, while Rob and his new girlfriend, Carol, and Carol's 5-year-old son, Mo and Jess and Rob's son, Toby will occupy the other. I want to start this review with the disclaimer that the storyline focuses very heavily on domestic abuse.Jane’s suspicions were driven by her own childhood, where her drunken father, Les, had beaten and controlled her mother, Cynthia, while she had cowered in a secret hideout in the attic. The differing character personalities were all portrayed very well, with Jane and her amateur but relentless sleuthing, Ashleigh and Evan as the troubled married couple next door and May, the old family friend and neighbour who holds her own secret past tied to Jane. Before you judge me for logging this in you need to understand that this is not just your ordinary softcore porn. The steam room and sauna at my local Y served as a kind of after-work social club for men who were gay ― and for those who had wives and kids. The other storyline is rather heartbreaking, and I was really satisfied with how the things turned out at the end.

testimony from my first house which I wouldn't have got without his help,I promise to review him to the wold for the great help he did to me. This really added to the book for me and I loved how the women were such strong characters and who really stood up for not only each other but themselves. I must say I was much more invested in Jane’s story and the flashbacks to the past than I was with Evan and Ashleigh’s story. This is an intense, twisty thriller that I virtually kept reading into the early hours of the morning. It’s not always an easy read, focusing as it does on domestic abuse, but it is nonetheless compelling.
