About this deal
If you are looking for an action camera and you don’t wish to spend hundreds (or even thousands of dollars if you add the accessories), then the AKASO Brave 6 Plus is the camera for you. Quality and price are extremely well-balanced, not to mention that it’s amazingly easy to operate. If I was to suggest any improvements to this nifty little, yet powerful, camera, it would be to make the voice control feature really good and reliable or just don’t offer it. Also, on my wish list would be 4k video at 60 fps. This is an option on pricier action cameras, so I may not be entirely realistic with that request.
AKASO Brave 6 Plus Native WiFi Action Camera with Touch Screen
The remote will pair to your camera via Bluetooth connectivity and you will be able to remote control your camera from a distance. You also have the option to use the Akaso Go smartphone App to do your mode selections and menu access. Connect your phone to the camera via Wi-Fi, open the App, and you’re good to go. Remote Control The image sensor is sharp enough to bring in a bag of details in Full HD or higher resolutions. Day time The zoom is another aspect that can be improved as despite being advertised as 8x zoom it’s, in fact, digital zoom and not an optical one. This can end up in a quality loss for the recording rather than clear sharp footage that most users aim for.The Electronic Image Stabilization is one of things I liked in this camera. And it works on all video resolutions which is good but the stabilization itself can be better compared to other Akaso action cams like the v50 Elite. This feature is extremely useful as it will result in a smoother footage especially when it comes to shooting activities that involves fast motion like walking, running or doing extreme sports. Of course, you also have a smartphone app. This is pretty comprehensive and enables you to take control of the camera and access all the usual features. It’s basic but does the job.It is important to note that there is no external microphone included in the box, you will have to buy one separately if you intend on boosting your audio experience. You will need a small lapel mic with a USB connection. Unfortunately, my rode lapel mic doesn’t have that connection. WIFI control and AKASO GO App The left side of this camera boosts the in-cam mic and the USB connection. As usual with action cameras, you cannot expect quality audio footage if the climate conditions are harsh, but the advantage is that you can pair an external USB microphone to work with it – just bear in mind that this option is only available when the camera is not wearing its waterproof casing. Keep in mind this camera also boasts WiFi support, making it easy to upload our recordings and photos to the cloud instead of messing up with cables. The ideal combo for outdoor live recordings. The AKASO Brave 6 Plus is compatible with the app AKASO DV, allowing you to see the recording from your smartphone or tablet in real-time as well as operating some manual controls. Conclusion
