I listened on Audible and the narrator is absolutely one of my favorites as of recently and she made this story infinitely better. I felt sorry for her in places, she makes a really good point about staff becoming just as institutionalised as prisoners after being inside for so long, when they come out it can be really daunting working in the real without. The Governor and his men then attack the prison; Rick Grimes' group runs for cover, and gunfire erupts on both sides. He looks up to see a young girl, about the same age as Penny, in the window of a nearby apartment building; he pulls himself back to his feet and investigates.Enraged, the Governor attacks Michonne, and in self-defense she stabs him in the hand and the right eye with a glass shard. The novel follows the story of Philip Blake, his daughter Penny, his older brother Brian, and his friends Bobby and Nick as they struggle to survive in a world ravaged by the zombie apocalypse.
