About this deal

Keepability [5]– With a vastly expanding collection, these are sure to be collector’s items and will maintain their value

Build your collection - This set is part of a series of collectible LEGO Star Wars build-to-display helmet models, each offering a fun and immersive creative experience More interestingly is LEGO’s first Rebel and open-face helmet – 75327 Luke Skywalker’s Helmet, which was famously featured when he flew his Red Five X-Wing in A New Hope to blow up the Death Star.I’d love to know what you think of the new Luke Skywalker Red Five Helmet, and what other Rebel helmets you’d like to see Unfortunately, I think the issue derives from the presence of flexible yellow hoses flanking the ridge. These are based upon stripes visible onscreen, but their flexibility is restricted and their curvature could not necessarily be stretched any further. The yellow stripes immediately above the visor are welcome though, beside printed Rebel Alliance symbols. Regardless of where your allegiance lies, whether it be with the Imperial Empire or the Rebel Alliance, there's a Lego Star Wars helmet for everyone. There's now a huge range of models available and they're usually aimed at adult or older builders and typically come in at a lower price point, which makes them ideal for display. As mentioned at the beginning of this review, open-faced helmets introduce design challenges not present for enclosed designs. César Soares has expertly avoided those potential problems with 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet though, faithfully depicting Luke's classic helmet. I am particularly pleased with the integration of the presentation stand and the decoration across this model. The open face nature of the helmet is brand new territory for LEGO, and they’ve done a decent job here with it, and it doesn’t feel as empty like the LEGO Batman cowls.

As expected, the Mandalorian helmet borrows heavily on the Boba Fett Helmet, and employs a mix of light grey and silvery elements to create a sense of shininess. During the Clone Wars, a division of clone trooper pledges loyalty to Ahsoka Tano. They repaint their standard issue helmets to show their loyalty to the Jedi. Helmet, which is adjustable, features some weathering in addition to its bright color accents. Button activated electronic voice changer makes your voice sound like a clone trooper from Ahsoka’s division. 20. Phase II Clone Trooper Helmet The bright colours, and the fact that it’s a Rebel helmet also add to the uniqueness, and I was very impressed by how well the LEGO designers translated one of the most iconic helmets in Star Wars, and also made it so much fun to build.

Overall

The proportions of this helmet look absolutely superb, including the rounded dystonic motivator housings on either side and the aforementioned ridge on top. The open interior looks excellent too, avoiding the unsightly support structure which affected 76182 Batman Cowl last year. The brow is noticeably raised though, relative to the source material.

However, consulting the onscreen helmet reveals the most significant problem with this model, as the angle of the brow structure seems too steep. Its position beside the decoration on both flanks is appropriate, but the curved elements above the visor should be closer to horizontal. This problem is particularly disappointing because the helmet otherwise looks outstanding. Now that we have Rebel helmets, I can’t wait to see more of these – maybe we’ll get those aerodynamic Rebel Helmets soon! The orange visor is probably the least accurate, as the dip in the middle feels too deep, but I learned from the designers that this was a particularly challenging part of the model, as they needed to use trans-orange elements, that were as clear as possible, and many iterations led to this one. Step-by-step guide - Are you a newcomer to LEGO construction sets? No problem. There are clear, illustrated instructions in the box, so you can build with the confidence of a Jedi MasterSpecial thanks to the LEGO Group for providing this set for review 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet Set Details LIGHT AND SOUND FX BATTLE SIMULATION: 3 internal speakers create a surround sound experience and synchronized LED lights inside the visor simulate the blasts of enemy vehicles This is LEGO’s first Rebel and open-face helmet, as previous inclusions have mostly been Imperial-flavoured, but it instantly makes a huge impact when you see it.
