The book is very large - I have attached a photo next to a standard book for reference of how big it is. I am no dinosaur expert, so for a starting/entry point this felt like a lot of detailed information that I’m sure a lot the children would get a lot from the book/images the older they get/can read and study more independently.I’m lucky enough to have all of the books in the ‘welcome to the museum’ series and this is one of the very, very best.

We have a couple other books by this company, and like those this is nice quality with great images. Lily grew up in the wilds of snowy nowhere, spending much of her time talking to animals and making up stories.Perfect for those Dino Mad kidsters, fact lovers of every age and that co worker who keeps tiny dinosaurs on top of his computer! It starts out with a branching tree (cladogram) showing the current understanding of dinosaur species' ancestries. With stunning artwork from Chris Wormell, Dinosaurium is the perfect gift for anyone with an interest in this fascinating field. Why any person would choose to watch TV or play computer games rather than read a glorious book like this is (absolutely) beyond me.
