In addition to the regular edition, a deluxe edition of Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia was published. This special version includes: Hero Chao's appearance as a spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not included anywhere in the section. The Japanese Wii U release date is listed as "May 15, 2013" instead of 2014, while the Japanese PS3 release date is correct. Though the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were released on the same day in North America and Europe, it isn't specified that out of the two, only the PS3 version was released in Japan. The Crystal Head, Kaizoku Glider and Kaizoku Snowball, who all appear in Blizzard Peaks, are erroneously stated to appear in Haunted Ship. In the " Team Rose" section, despite Chao being genderless, Chocola is referred to as Cheese's brother. This is consistent with the game, though.

Despite both the "levels" and "boss appearances in Zones" portions of the Tails Adventure section listing the boss of Volcanic Tunnel as the Mecha Golem, and the boss of Cavern Island as the Mecha Golem (5-gou), their sprites are erroneously captioned with the other's name.Super Smash Bros.
