About this deal

This atmospheric and pacy mystery novel set in Victorian England is a great introduction to the gothic genre. I really enjoyed the unusual intrigue with a hint of supernatural and Penelope is a great heroin: clever, cunning and a bit fearless. Eddie Izzard stars in Six Minutes to Midnight on March 26th but where is the film available to watch? Is Six Minutes to Midnight on Netflix?

These insane ramblings seem to depict the impossible and hint at the future. Thirteen year old Penelope Tredwell, orphan heiress and writer of best-selling magazine The Penny Dreadful, is intrigued. Hiding behind an actor hired to play the noted author of the Penny Dreadful mysteries, Penny drags him unwillingly into a macabre investigation. As she seeks to discover the meaning of insane ramblings of these unfortunate inmates, and turn them into what would be her best-selling and most famous story ever, Penny finds that she's uncovered a sinister plot controlled by a very real, very evil, very unlikely villain, and she may well be the next victim. The mirror shattered into a thousand pieces, and, for a moment, in every single shard, the face of the last Earl of Pomeroy could be glimpsed, his mouth stretched in an endless scream as his dark and murderous deeds were finally avenged.”Penelope Tredwell is a thirteen-year-old author of The Penny Dreadful, one of London's popular newspapers. Captivating, enthralling, with a hint of the supernatural... this is a must read for young mystery fans! (Ages 9 to 12 years.) It really gave me confidence and made me feel very sophisticated at the time because of the relatable young girl protagonist, and I wouldn't be surprised if this book was one of the first novels that inspired my thirst for reading as a teenager! tales. as yet another peal of applause rang out from the audience to acclaim the young girl’s words. In the front row, the journalist was still struggling to make himself heard. He glared at the girl, a gleam of recognition in his gaze, but his voice was lost in the tumultuous ovation. But just where will fans be able to watch Six Minutes to Midnight, is the film going to be on Netflix? It seems to make more sense the more that you read. I like the fact that the actor playing the leading role has decided to take on the character and investigate a story further. While the storyline seems relatively predictable at first, I can guarantee you that there will still be some plot twists and that you will realize by the end, that the author thought the story out way more than seems apparent at the beginning. I definitely enjoyed this thriller for kids as it wasn't too intense and scary, yet it still held some good intrigue and edge-of-your-seat moments. Stepping out from behind the lectern, he held out his right hand towards the girl and the audience’s applause redoubled at this unexpected act of kindness. The dark-haired girl slowly climbed the steps at the front of the stage until finally she was standing in front of the author as Montgomery Flinch strode to greet her. Then, with a final bow to the audience, the two of them exited stage left, disappearing behind the heavy crimson drapes.

I also felt like we didn't get to know the main characters enough (seriously, who is Alfie?), because the story was too rushed out. Penelope is too perfect and too self reliant to be a thirteen year old girl. This book would have worked out better if she were a 20 year old lady instead. In many ways, Twelve minutes to midnight is too far fetched. At the beginning I thought I was about to read a gothic-mystery novel, but then the plot focused on the fantasy genre. Despite that, new films have still found their way onto our screens and Eddie Izzard’s latest project, Six Minutes to Midnight, is fast-approaching. You’re the most celebrated author in Britain, but nobody knows the first thing about you,” the young journalist continued, his voice echoing around the now hushed theatre. “Other authors
