About this deal

Put down your binoculars and get closer to nature with these intricate LEGO® models of well-known birds! Created by keen gardener and bird enthusiast Thomas Poulsom and selected by LEGO Ideas members, each replica bird hails from a different continent: the Robin from Europe; the Blue Jay from North America; and the Hummingbird from South America. These beautiful and detailed models come with their own presentation stands showing their scientific names, so that you can display your birds for allto enjoy or detach and play as you wish. This set also includes 3 booklets containing lots more information about each of these fascinating species as well as the creator of these amazing models. A BIGthank you to everybody that supported my first project. I am thrilled to have my LEGO Birds Idea become a reality. Highly customizable – The eggs, flowers and branch can be moved around on the nest. The mama and baby birds can be removed from the nest, and have movable wings so they can be posed in different ways It depends. If you already have bought all of Lego’s other Botanicals sets and you’re desperate to bring another plant to life, jump right in. However, we’d recommend practically any other set in the range before this one. It’s the most expensive of them all and, in our opinion, not even the best-looking. If you find it on sale, however, go for it. It’s still a very pretty set and one that’s pleasant to build. Other Lego sets to consider Unlike a real flower, this plant doesn’t need watering – making it a top gift for anyone who's a bit forgetful when it comes to watering their little green friend.

I find birds a great subject to build with LEGO and I'm sure from the great response I have had on this project that thousands of other people would too. Celebrate spring – Build a LEGO® Bird’s Nest (40639) for a meaningful seasonal or Easter display for a table or shelf. A creative gift for families and older kids with a passion for animals and nature After all of the effort I have put into this project I really want it to pass the review stage so I am quite flexible with what the final set would consist of, the above are suggestions as to what I think would work best. I have chosen three more popular birds that I think would complementthe existing LEGO Birds set (21301). One of the world’s most eye-catching plants, the Bird of Paradise can grow up to two meters tall. Now you can build your own tribute to this exceptional flower with this LEGO® rendition of the eye-catching house plant.

More To Do

These three birds are well recognised around the world and would allow a larger target market as there is one European bird, one North American bird and a tropical bird. I really enjoy matching the different colours and features of our beautiful feathered friends and I hope that one day anybody else can have the chance to build their own bird from LEGO.

They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. So, without further ado, I would really appreciate your support to get this project the required 10,000 supporters within the allotted12 month deadline. The flowers and leaves can be repositioned, allowing you to style the plant and create your own display, and there are even a few surprises if you look carefully enough – do you see the little purple LEGO swords used to make the flower’s stamens? Below I have listed three small birds that came top in a recent supporter vote. I think these could easily be recreated by LEGO's professional builders. The LEGO Group's motto is ‘det bedste er ikke for godt’, which roughly translates to "only the best is the best". Ole Kirk Christiansen came up with this phrase to encourage workers to always produce the highest quality toys possible.

Let's all team up to get the 10,000 supporters and hopefully the Robin, Blue Jay and Hummingbird will have some friends in the stores. While you'll need to water regular plants, this collector's item grows with pure imagination and creativity I also think that if these birds were turned into official sets they would be inspirational to both children and adults and would be a great gift for anybody. They would sell very well in zoos, museums, wildlife centres, and of course the LEGO store. I really hope you like the choices, it was very hard to choose from themany birds I've built so farbut I think they are a great combination of beautiful birds.

After the amazing success of the first LEGO Bird Project I have been told countless times that three birds is just not enough! Many people have been asking when more birds will be available to add to their collection so I thought I would add another project to see whether this might be possible. Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store. If there are any concerns that LEGO CUUSOO have with creating multiple birds in one set and we have to choose just one then Bobby the Robin Red Breast would be my choice. He was the first bird I built and the inspiration behind this whole project. He is also one of the worlds most recognised small birds. If LEGO CUUSOO think that they could create a set using a different bird from my substantial collection then I would be happy for them to use one of these. I think it would be a great shame and an anticlimax for all of my dedicated fans and supporters if there was only one bird in a set from the dozens I have built so far for this project.
