COLOP offers a wide range of accessories such as different label forms, cotton ribbons or wrist bands. The Ribbon Guide, for instance, provides a practical accessory for exact handling and positioning of the e-mark on ribbons and other surfaces. The COLOP e-mark is an electronic marking device. With the COLOP e-mark app you can easily create and change full colour imprints and send them instantly to the e-mark wherever and whenever you want. Explore a new era of marking and stamping. Please note: The e-mark goes automatically into sleep mode when not used for more than three minutes. After waking up, WiFi connection needs to be re-established. The e-mark is an electronic and mobile (battery-powered) marking device which allows you to create and change own imprints and print them by an easy sideways movement. It’s operated through an App on a mobile device (phone or tablet) or a PC with the option to create almost unlimited designs. Ready-to-use templates and special features are available. Depending on the Excel version you are using, you might not be able to save your file in the CSV UTF-8 format directly. Saving your file in this format is important to ensure the correct visualisation and printing of all signs including special characters, language specific letters etc. It is possible to store up to four imprints permanently on the e-mark. The different colours on the side of the e-mark indicate at which position you are right now and which imprint of the four will be printed. The last imprint that was sent is always stored on the green position. Under “imprints on e-mark” you can select 3 further imprints, which are also in the App highlighted in blue, orange and pink. When changing the position (by tapping four times onto the e-mark – watch the video here), the lights will change from green to blue, orange or pink. Alternatively, you can also choose one of the pre-installed 2- or 3-line templates in the app and edit it.
Mobile App
In the traditional stamp sector, COLOP has been one of the world's leading manufacturers of modern self-inking stamps in particular for more than 40 years. For some years now, the company has also been active in the electronic-digital sector with its innovative mobile printers called e-mark® (focus: professionals) and e-mark® go (focus: private individuals). As a third pillar, COLOP has been successfully active in the creative gift sector and in the hobby segment ( tattoo stamps, textile stamps, ...) since 2019. INFO: When starting/installing your e-mark for the first time, you must always connect via WiFi. This can be done via the mobile app or the desktop version. After completing the firmware update on the e-mark, the USB version can also be used. The app offers the possibility to design multi-line imprints, which allows to make imprints with up to three lines. Please watch the video “ Make a multi-line imprint” for further explanation.
In general it always helps to switch the e-mark off and on again and closing the app from the task manager. Do not use the e-mark on skin. During operation, the printhead becomes very hot and can cause serious burns. Besides, our ink is not dermatologically tested.The App offers an extensive range of ready-to-use imprints. You can easily adapt them with your own data. Another option is creating your own imprints by adding texts, symbols, images or other elements to a blank field. Note: If you cannot find the CSV UTF-8 saving option, please have a look at “I do not see the option to save my Excel file as CSV UTF-8. What can I do?” When making a 2- or 3-line imprint (imprint already sent to e-mark before), please listen to beeps of the e-mark – it will tell you whenever you need to change direction for a new line. Printing is simply a matter of dragging the printer over the material on which you want to print. A set of guides notched at the center boost your precision.
The software already contains more than 40 different font styles, which can be used on any device – regardless of whether it is on the Android app, iOS app or desktop version. As mentioned, the Colop e-mark app comes in three flavors: Windows, iOS, and Android. Overall, the software is robust and comes with an abundance of templates, typefaces, and clip art; a QR code and bar code generator; and a date, time, and numbering generator. That last one, naturally, allows you to create stamps that update themselves according to when they're imprinted or to stamp objects in sequence. To change the type of connection between e-mark and your device, use the button on the bottom left side in the software. Please note that the e-mark can only be connected to one device at a time, either via WiFi or via USB. To establish a connection with another device, the existing connection must be disconnected first. Also when changing between USB and Wifi, the existing connection must be disconnected. You can create designs from scratch and upload PNG and JPEG images to integrate them. Insert texts and change colour and font, and even upload your own fonts. Insert clipart that come with the app and change colours or flip them. There are no limits to your creativity with the e-mark go app. The app stores up to 500 different designs per account.Please follow the initialisation guide in the App, which includes connecting to your e-mark for the first time via WiFi (mobile devices) or USB interface (PCs). For first initialisation only set up the WiFi connection through the App and not through the WiFi settings of your device! The e-mark is a mobile printer as well as a digital stamp based on inkjet technology and is operated through an app using a mobile device (mobile phone, tablet). This makes it possible to apply individual full-colour imprints on a variety of absorbent materials (from paper to wood) with a simple sideways movement.
