About this deal

Despite their long standing rivalry in the Canaries, the Sical (Tropical) and CCC (Dorada) companies merged in 1994. The joint Canarian company then became part of the SABMiller group, which in a massive 2016 merger became part of the world’s largest brewer, ABInBev. Other Canarian Commercial Beers Yes, THAT Corona. The Corona you’ve seen at every summer party since college. In fact, Corona is the most popular beer in multiple states, including the not-surprising beach party states of California and Florida but also Georgia, Colorado, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, and North Dakota!

Dorada is served in a brown bottle with a red label (or red can) with the image of Mount Teide in Tenerife as its logo.Sol—While Corona wins the marketing wars in the U.S., Sol is the winning brand in much of Mexico, despite not being a standout in any respect. You see the logo plastered everywhere and it’s seemingly on every restaurant and bar menu. It’s simple and inoffensive, like Corona, but still slightly more flavorful than your typical American macrobrew. At its best ice cold, and progressively worse as it gets warmer. A CLASSIC. CRISP. BEER. Introducing one of the latest additions to the Modus Beer family. Cerveza. Yes. It is exactly what you think it means. It’s Mexican for beer (technically Spanish). Craft beer hasn’t taken off in the Canary Islands, as it has elsewhere in the world. Although there are a small number of micro-breweries and brew-pubs, they are few and far between and their produce isn’t well-distributed. A few to look out for are: Brand La Tropical Brewery was originally founded in 1924 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, but soon went bankrupt. A group of local entrepreneurs bought the company and founded Sociedad Industrial Canaria (Sical). Tropical is served in a green bottle/can with the image of the head of a ‘Perro de Presa’ (a large Canarian dog) surrounded by laurel leaves. Bottles of Tropical now have a very useful optimum drinking temperature indicator; the dog’s head will turn blue when the larger is ready to drink, thanks to thermocromic paint. Independent micro-breweries are not all that common in Mexico, especially when you compare them to the thousands of micro-breweries throughout America and Europe.

Alhambra's products are: Especial (5.4%), Mezquita (7.2%), Negra (5.4%), Premium Lager (4.6%), Sureña (4.6%), Reserva 1925 (6.4%). If a problem happens with the delivery please let us know and we will do our best to help, we can talk to Parcel Force to help solve the problem. It pairs wonderfully with a heavier Mexican meal. Negra Modelo was first introduced in 1925. It is now one of the top-selling dark beers from Mexico.A truly European-inspired beer, in case the Czech name doesn’t tip you off. It pours easily and has a subtle fruit aroma with hints of a cocoa-like bitterness and vanilla. Pale in color, it has a pleasant balance between bitter hops and sweet grains. Also known as “The Cream Of The Beer,” this original Model is a Munich Dunkel-style dark lager. Modelo Nega has a balanced flavor and an aroma of dark malt, caramel, and hops. It has a rich and smooth taste. This Victoria cerveza frequently shows up as a winner among Mexican beer drinkers. It is medium-bodied, malty, and slightly toasty with a clean finish. It is bright, dry, and refreshing, with no grain notes to weigh it down. S - Light grainy nose, with a faint hoppy touch. Correct and forgettable, but with no offensive touch.

Indio is sweet from the caramel malt and surprisingly light. A deep copper hue leads to a sweet take on a Vienna-style lager. It is not outrageous or extreme, but a solid balance of bitterness and malt. Sol” is Spanish for “sun,” and this bright, light lager is perfect for sunny day drinking. It pours a light golden color with a hint of corn flavor, which pairs perfectly with your favorite beach-side tacos.

Award Winning Spanish Beer

We’re absolutely chuffed to bring this coastal Mexican inspired can of goodness to Aus and brew it right here in the heart of Merewether in Newcastle and Mona Vale in the Northern Beaches in Sydney. After trying a wide variety of Mexican beers, here are what we think are the top Mexican beer brands that you should try the next time you reach for another beer. What Are The Beer Brands From Mexico? 1. Indio – 4.1% ABV This is the biggest-selling beer in Spain, and one of the top-selling brands in Europe. Based in Seville, it has been owned by Heineken since 1991. Founded in 1904 by two brothers from the Osborne sherry family, this beer takes its name from a stone cross, La Cruz del Campo (The Cross of the Field), where the first factory was built. Cruzcampo's symbol is Gambrinus, the 13th-century beer-brewing Flemish Duke. Cruzcampo is also brewed elsewhere in Andalucia, namely in Jaen. It was the first Spanish brewery to produce a cerveza sin (alcohol-free beer), in 1976. The brewery opened its new factory opened in Seville in 2008, and its latest product is the malty premium Gran Reserva.
