The 65-inch models we tested both have IPS-type panels, but each TV is available in a variety of sizes, and some have VA panels instead. The units we tested of each have the same panel type, but they both have variants with different panel types too. The Hisense U6G is better than the Hisense A6G overall, but as they use different panel technologies, the A6G might be a better choice for some people. The semi-gloss coating doesn't disperse reflections very well, so direct reflections are very noticeable and can be distracting.

The A6G uses an IPS panel, so it might be a better choice if you have a wide seating arrangement, as the image remains accurate at an angle. You should take the card you paid with and proof of name and address details with you when you go to collect (driving license/house bill/bank statement).

Although this TV doesn't support any advanced gaming features or a 120Hz input, it does have Auto Low Latency Mode. Even outside of Game Mode, the input lag is reasonable, and you won't feel much of a delay when scrolling through the TV's interface. These results are with the same settings as outside of Game Mode, but with the Picture Mode set to 'HDR Game'. If purchasing an indoor aerial, we would recommend checking the distance from the transmitter as aerials will have a different range specified on the product box.

We uploaded the brightness measurements and uniformity photos after running the TV for four months in our Accelerated Longevity Test. However, it's one of a few TVs with a composite adapter so that you can connect old devices like a DVD player or an early-generation gaming console. It has a good viewing angle, making it a good choice for watching the big game with a large group of friends, and it upscales cable sports well, with no noticeable issues.
