Suzume eventually realizes that Benkei is intelligent and observers the world around him after seeing him open his kennel.

I appreciate the amount of love and care that was put into getting not only the depictions of dinosaurs in the series correct, but really making them feel like actual characters and living beings.Even though I was surprised by how scientific it was even if in hindsight the blurb obviously says that. Matsumoto-Kun and Hiriyama-San eventually leave Dinoland, but not before Matsumoto-Kun asks here to come back to Dinoland with him, and she agrees. First on the list is Igarashi Keisuke, and Suzume will learn what makes him tick as they care for the park’s pachycephalosaurs and stegosaurs. The manga has a fantastic slice-of-life feel that captures the challenging but rewarding nature of working in animal care. While these real-life topics can be rather grim, Dinosaur Sanctuary never becomes outright pessimistic, keeping up a fairly optimistic tone that makes this manga fun to read.
