There is no prescribed standard for calculating a weekly allowance level for a young person who is a relevant child, but no young person should receive less than they would have received had they been entitled to claim benefits. This does not mean, however, that each young person must receive cash to that amount. The type of support, and how it is delivered, varies from one young person to another.
