Though Muller-Brockman first presented hi interpretation of grid in 1961, this text is still useful today for anyone working in the latest computer-assisted design. I see things in terms of lines and mathematical equations and this book fit so well into how I draw.This separation between design and development helps to protect the consistency of a designer’s work as it gets translated into an application. Furthermore, I am unaware if Herr Müller-Brockmann did not attach any importance to leaving orphans (single words on a line at the end of a paragraph), but I do know that it is a no-no of modern typography practice.
