The second book will therefore have an entirely different type of pacing, being more episodic in nature between chapters. Once book one is complete I will have enough vital elements covered that I will be confident alternating between Sultry Summer and some other comic ideas. I’ve worked on Sultry Summer for years straight as it is, and would like the chance to explore other content with other characters in between. I’ll announce officially when I’m reaching that point. One hopes for love when he’s known rejection and regret more than anyone should, while the other is afraid to reach for the love due to fears of how he’ll be perceived by others. But Kev is nothing if not mature and willing to stand up for himself, which forces Jax to open his eyes to the possibility of exactly what he’s been hoping for. Once he finally lets his guard down and pulls his head out of his ass, we start to explore our relationship. Just as everything starts leading in the direction, we both want, our fresh romance is turned on its head.As much as I want to give in, I’m not sure I can. He knows me better than I know myself, but I don’t want to be hurt again. It's got a 20 year age gap with a fiesty little twink and a grumpy bartender who happens to be Simon's cousin. I liked the glimpses we got of both guys, so I'll likely add it to my enormous TBR. This is my first MM romance and also my first book by this author, i was not disappointed, not at all. Despite myself, I find love, support and even a family amid the small-town community. Finding my forever family, I realized I can’t leave. They are helping me grow and be the person I want to be. This book is the perfect example of m/m age gap small town forced proximity with some unexpected twists thrown in. If you like mildly angsty stories this one's a winner. The hope of a serious relationship was fleeting. Random hook-ups, a few decent conversations, and the occasional drink is all I was ever willing to give, but it got lonely. A bit later on the update for this due to a busy week, but as stated in the lines I still got it done before end of day, so I’m only about a handful of hours off schedule. After the colors Ben’s anatomy in the first panel felt off to me so I redid it. That’s always a risk of going straight into lines, but it’s not like things can’t be redrawn later, which would have to be done if I did the sketch to lines anyway. Growing up, I had it all. I never had to want for anything. Everything was great, and I had a family who cared. But getting tangled up with the wrong crowd ruined that.I was super hyped to get my hands on Jax and Kev's story. I knew that these two were going to be dynamite and boy were they ever explosive.
