Wax Cosy Owl sources only the highest quality premium candle wax to ensure our products provide you with the perfect reliable materials to make your ideal candle. There are a variety of different types of waxes from which candles can be made. These varieties stem from two main sources, natural and mineral, and both comprise of many different qualities and facets. Wholesale candle wax volumes are available with 800g, 5kg, 10kg and 25kg weights available. Different types of wax Natural waxes, such as vegetable wax and soy wax, have a light and creamy colour to them whilst producing a slight plant-like fragrance when burnt. Made from natural oils, such as those from the rapeseed plant and the soya bean, these waxes are a sustainable alternative to more popular paraffin waxes as they are 100% natural in origin. Soy wax is a particularly popular natural wax as its’ scent throw is far stronger than rapeseed waxes and is far less likely to trigger allergies than other forms of wax. Mineral waxes, of which paraffin is the most widely used, are made from petroleum and benefit from a very clean, odourless burn when in its purest state. White in colour and very easy… All fragrance oils have what is referred to as a Flash Point – the temperature at which the oil will start to combust and the fragrance is released.

Our Christmas Spice Fragrance Oil has been specially formulated to evoke the familiar rich aroma of some of the most well known spices used in both food and fragrance alike; something never out of place at Christmas time. This intense and resonant scent exudes a strong and prominent smell associated with bergamot, ginger, orange zest and eucalyptus. This initial aroma is the most pronounced as your candle starts to burn, filling up your room with a scent that is then enhanced by light undertones of clove bud and cinnamon. Incorporated into the formulation for this distinctive fragrance is a delightful trace aftertaste of musk, cardamom and vanilla. The flash point for Christmas Spice is 76°C, for more information on Flash Points follow this link https://www.cosyowl.com/guides/how-to-use-fragrance-oils/ Please Note: Due to the fact that our fragrances are 100% concentrated, a little goes a long way. Since our fragrances are so strong, we suggest only using 60g to 100g to 1 Kilo of candle wax for a good scent throw. The percentages listed below reflect our suggested fragrance usage in the corresponding finished products but we suggest testing to get your required strength.Enjoy two of the most festive fragrances around – warming nutmeg and sweet orange – with balancing geranium thrown in for good measure. Fragrance oils are typically given a year’s expiry from the date of manufacture however, many fragrance oils can last months or even years past this date if stored correctly. Tests (we don’t offer this service) can be performed on fragrance oils to determine their suitability beyond their shelf life. Have most of the essential oils in this range but lavender has to be my favourite. It's so calming. I put a few drops on my pillow every night to help relax and fall asleep easier. It's also really great in the bath.”

The ethical sourcing of products is of utmost importance for us and we are very proud to say that all Fragrance Oils supplied by Cosy Owl, and their raw materials, are cruelty free and absolutely no testing on animals or humans takes place. We understand however, there may be some confusion as the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) contain toxicity values for rat and rabbit. This particular section refers to the LD50 (toxicity) of particular ingredients which are required for other industries (such as for use in food) and it is mandatory that we include these where they exist. Any animal test data is based on testing that was not conducted or sanctioned by us or our suppliers, in some cases, these tests were mandated by a government agency or performed decades ago and categorically no testing was performed for the use of these ingredients in products we are supplying. A stunning, spicy Christmas composition. Warming notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove underpin a glazed orange heart. A must-have Christmas classic.
