LG has got the sensitivity right with the magic pointer (which can be customised), and it’s both nice to hold and easy to operate. Measuring the OLED65G3 confirms that these suggested numbers from LG aren’t just 'out there' marketing hype either. Further gains can be had in games that support variable refresh rates; and on that front there’s AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync for PC gamers. The new “4:4:4 Pass Through” option enables full chroma reproduction without increasing input lag, making it ideal for console gaming, especially since it reduces posterisation when displaying a 4K 120Hz video signal.
This is doubly true because the unprecedented surge in brightness has seemingly done no damage at all to the G3's traditional black level talents.
