Let’s start with the SnoozeShade. The SnoozeShade material is a slightly rough to the touch, 100% polyester perforated mesh. The mesh is somewhat coarse and actually lets in a lot more light that we expected. Not only does it let a good amount of light in, but you are also able to make out what’s happening outside of the SnoozeShade if the lights are on in the room. Will it help my child sleep when we’re away from home? The science behind SnoozeShade is all about encouraging deep and restful sleep. Our unique fabric creates a comfortingly dark space – even if you have a light on in the room – which boosts melatonin (the sleepy hormone) and helps children drift off. When they naturally stir between sleep cycles, the distraction-blurring mesh prevents them from latching on to visual stimuli (such as another family member moving in the room) that may cause them to wake up fully.

SnoozeShade Original has six sets of straps, but you don’t need to use them all. As long as you have a secure fit with no gaps to let in light, you’re good to go. Our scientifically tested fabric is completely air permeable, which means air passes through it freely. If you were to hold a SnoozeShade up to your face you’d be able to breathe comfortably. To reassure you, all of SnoozeShade products are designed to meet rigorous safety testing that goes above and beyond what is required by nursery industry standards. There is also a storage pouch on the side, where I can put a white noise machine or some extra baby wipes.Will it fit my pushchair? Yes! SnoozeShades are all universally sized and fit all single-width buggies and pushchairs with a hood, including jogging strollers. We’ve even seen them used on Thule bike trailers and festival trolleys! Before attaching the SnoozeShade cover, I assumed the straps were made out of velcro. Velcro often wears down over time and doesn’t always stay put when tugged on. The SnoozeShade cover uses something different.

You don’t need to worry about the type of pushchair you have and whether it will fit. Simply choose the SnoozeShade that suits the age of your child. You can see photos of how it fits onto triangular/trapezium travel cots here and see a list of models we know it's been used on here.Even older children sometimes need to grab a sleep – you can use your SnoozeShade until your little one is out of the pram Will it fit my pushchair? SnoozeShade Twin Deluxe is universally sized to fit all double-width prams and pushchairs with either two separate hoods or one wide one. If you have a tandem pram you will need two single SnoozeShades: Original (0-6m) or Plus (6m+) The solution for that is getting this new version with fan included or buying an inexpensive fan separately. Accessories & Storage The SlumberPod extends well beyond the playard and therefore it allows baby not to feel stuffy inside the tent. It also has plenty of space for a small fan to be placed near the bottom to move the air inside the pod, and that’s exactly what we did. Pull the hood of the stroller forward at least halfway before attaching the top straps. Your SnoozeShade will then sit lower at the front and will be easier to attach at the bottom.

Even though our baby was able to fall asleep inside the SnoozeShade we felt a lot more exposed and we could see him looking at us from inside the closed shade. We generally felt the need to dim the lights and not move around too much until he fell asleep. If you’re ever in any situation where you will need to room-share with your baby or just want to remove the distractions from being away from home, the sleep tents are here to save you and your precious sleep.
