About this deal

Apply to: Restore circulation and effectiveness in systems older than six months that have a significant amount of corrosion debris causing poor circulation and cold spots. Prepare for the installation of new components. A few examples of the kind of debris that can be found in new systems include copper swarf, flux residues, casting sands and rust. Other contaminants can include greases and stamping oils used in the manufacturing process, sometimes applied excessively. When introduced into a central heating system, these materials can cause problems such as corrosion. Its formulation also contains agents to ensure the protection of system metals against corrosion during the cleaning as well as preparing the installation for the addition of Sentinel X100 Inhibitor. Sentinel X300 Cleaner for New Systems should be dosed at 1% of system volume, i.e. 1 litre per 100 litres of system water.

What next? Add Sentinel X100 inhibitor, to prevent corrosion and the build-up of limescale, the main causes of central heating and boiler inefficiency. How does it work? Contains a specialised dispersant to penetrate and lift sludge. Holds sludge in suspension ready for flushing. When using concentrate gel, add directly to the heating system either via a radiator air bleed valve, or via the fill loop using the appropriate adaptor and a suitable caulk gun. It is recommended that Sentinel X400 High Performance Cleaner is used in accordance with standard cleaning and commissioning protocols such as BSRIA Guide “Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems” or similar Water Treatment Guidelines from industry organisations such as the Industrial & Commercial Energy Association (ICOM). It is recommended that Sentinel X300 Cleaner for New Systems is used in accordance with standard cleaning and commissioning protocols such as BSRIA Guide “Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems” or similar Water Treatment Guidelines from industry organisations such as the Industrial & Commercial Energy Association (ICOM).To clean an older system in accordance with BS 7593 it is recommended that this product is used withpowerflushing equipment. In this scenario, administer Sentinel X800 Fast Acting Cleaner via thepowerflushing equipment, following theequipment manufacturer's instructions. Alternatively, circulate theproduct (preferably at normal operating temperature, with all valves open and the pump turned tomaximum flow) for a minimum period of 1 hour or until satisfactory performance is restored.

Sentinel X400 High Performance Cleaner should normally be dosed at 1% of system volume, i.e. 1 litre per 100 litres of system water. For systems with severe fouling, the dosage rate can be increased up to 5%. Where systems are badly fouled, we recommend a longer circulation period (approximately 3-4 weeks). The product is not aggressive and can be safely left in the system for extended periods. If it is not possible to heat the water, the circulation time should be extended to at least 24 hours. After cleaning, the system should be drained and flushed until the water runs clear. On refilling, the system should be treated with Sentinel X100 Inhibitor or Sentinel X500 Inhibited Antifreeze.Apply to: Remove residual flux, grease, oil and manufacturing & installation debris in systems under six months old Sealed Systems: If the system is empty, add to any convenient point before filling. If full, use a Sentinel Dosing Vessel to inject via the filling loop or other access point. How does it work? Acts as an emulsifier for oils and greases and a dispersant to lift and suspend particulate debris. Holds contamination in suspension ready for flushing.
