About this deal

Mix-and-Match Critter: One chapter sees Krall try to make the Princess talk by offering to let her play with Squeakums, a dolphin with human legs. The Princess is more confused and unnerved than anything else.

Chapter 79 has the Princess declare that, even though she's never ridden a bike before, it should be easy for her. Cut to her crashing face-first into the ground. Cut to Enki and Youki teaching her how to ride a bike.

The High Inquisitor and her Harm-Marshalls

Platonic Life-Partners: Played with and kind of muddled. Initially starts off very business like, growing into platonic as the story moves forward though Kaito is m9re obviously very much attracted to her, though it's complicated by both his status as her Servant, half assed protégé, later half assed enememy, later savior. It even culminates in not just a date during the invasion of the capital, shows itself a pang of brief but intense jealousy when Kaito and Hina consummate their marriage via their blood connection, to Kaito outright declaring his love for Elisabeth at the climax of Volume 5 before freeing her. In short, the 2 have a VERY complex relationship that is NOT purely platonic and goes right past romantic love. It's not exactly familial either. For Elisabeth, Kaito is both her first real, true companion and first love... ever. For Kaito, Elisabeth is both his Hero, object of eternal gratitude, family, and kindred hurt spirit. The 2 are just that close. Even Hina wouldn't object since she's Kaito's bride and he's Elisabeth's servant, but she loves them both near equally.... it's almost kind of a given that instead of 'platonic life partners' you'd get a genuine 'One True Threeseome' with how deep the feelings run here, and they very much do. Kaito and Elisabeth do NOT have a simple relationship dynamic, like at all. Chapters 162 and 163 have Tortura coming down with a scratchy throat, and staying home just in case. In Chapter 162, she decides to "torture" from home, while Chapter 163 sees her preparing a meal for herself. Kaito, Hina, and the Kaiser interrupt the execution, and Kaito declares himself the enemy of mankind. The Church postpones the execution and assigns Elisabeth the new task of killing Kaito, much to her chagrin. Elisabeth, Hina, and Kaito come to learn that the Church harbors dark secrets that would change humanity forever. They embark on a journey to stop the Church's secret sinister schemes. God and Satan Are Both Jerks: Of a sort. God is initially described as the force that creates the world, and Diablo the force that destroys it. Volume 4 reveals that this is the only thing either of them is: they're literally just natural forces that the Church's mythology has incorrectly personified, and neither one is actually good or evil. They simply exist.

The Hell-Lord himself isn't any better in this regard. At the end of chapter 42 above, he refuses to listen to the secret the Princess told, because it's not good manners to abuse the Princess' good will. The chief inquisitor of the Hell-Horde, she is the one primarily in charge of "torturing" the Princess, with her "tortures" mainly focusing on food. Projects a cold demeanor, but is a rather nice person under it.As originally Elisabeth is a torture maniac from the Inquisitions, she contains execution tools. After being given a new life Elisabeth has possession of abnormal regeneration and strength that is equal to a high Demon or high Angel race. As a part of his ability to have space of reality in the vault [Treasury], opening a " Medieval door" between dimensions that allows for the contents to pass through upon their owner's command, she can able summon items directly into his hand. Death Seeker: In public, Elizabeth openly and proudly welcomes her death sentence, even telling a priest praying for her at her execution pyre to can it, feeling it is the right of the people of the world to demand vengeance for all the innocents she slew. In private, she just wants her hellish life to finally end. The Movie Buff: Enki is this. On one occasion, she and the Princess head to a movie theater, and Youki even mentions that Enki is "kind of pesky about movies." Mao-Mao's mother the Queen is equally doting, more than happy to join in with her daughter's playtime.
