About this deal

one for a year or so, and I really like it. My experience is wide ranging, and this one should be one to try before

The flat field is preferable for astronomical use. However, for daytime use preferences vary - with some individuals having strong views either way - and most finding either acceptable though different As with any binoculars, there is no single best option, rather you can get the best one for your specific requirements and preferences.Welcome to BirdForum, the internet's largest birding community with thousands of members from all over the world. The forums are dedicated to wild birds, birding, binoculars and equipment and all that goes with it. The central focus knob between the tubes has a ridged rubber covering to make it easy to use with gloves. So too does the diopter wheel, which lets the binoculars compensate for differences between your eyes and achieve a focus that suits you. If maintaining a low weight is a priority for you, you can look for binoculars that use plastic components instead of metal ones. This can make all the difference in terms of weight. OPTICAL DIFFERENCES Endurance models benefit from our System H5 optics. ED glass is utilised to reduce colour fringing. The Fully Multi-Coated lenses provide high resolution images which ensure no details are lost when viewing at distances down to 2m. Astrophotography and Sketching → Experienced Deep Sky Imaging → Uranus c pro imx 585 sensor artifact

The Leica has little to none and the Swarovski a small amount. If there’s one thing I’d like improved on the Swarovski it would be this Swarovski NL Pure10x42 review: sensational high-end binoculars for wildlife spotting and spectator sports the way I have with some recent Zeiss. I prefer the styling of the Ultravids, with their classy double-focuser and exposedIt’s better in this regard than any of my other favourites: the Swarovski Habicht Porros in 8x30, 7x42 and 10x40; the Leica Ultravid HD 7x42, and; the Zeiss Victory FL 7x42

Your opening post said you wanted "to get more". I'm curious what you hope to achieve with a 12x50? What "more" are you aiming to get? The simple answer is that larger lenses require more glass and more material to manufacture. However, this may not be the only reason for the price difference. However, if you are loving the ones you have I very much doubt that you would see any significant difference with either of the Celestrons. They are around 2x the price of yours, so one would hope they are better quality, but build quality may not translate into significantly better views. Also, they may not be as bright as yours anyway due to transmission losses, which can be higher in roof prisms binos compared to porros at a similar cost point.
