La iluminación en modo normal crea un círculo de unos 5m de diámetro a una distancia de 3m, por lo que para interiores está muy bien pero en modo zoom llega "bien" a unos 50m creando un cuadrado tipo ventana con sus particiones en 4 y todo; esto es debido al diseño del led. A más de 50m ya sólo arroja una luz pero nada más. Además el cuadrado es muy pequeño a larga distancia por lo que como digo para exteriores no me sirve, al menos a mí.

Does the torch really last 12 hours? Should do in Lo. With the supplied battery in Hi it is full power for almost four hours (dropping to 3 bars after two hours and then just before the four hours is up dropping to 2 bars for a few minutes and then to 1 bar and 0 bars - with a significant drop in brightness once you drop below 2 bars. So I'd expect 8 hours of Medium and a good 12 hours of Low intensity light. Note that at 29W a 18Wh battery (3.6V x 5000mAh) would last about half an hour or so (capacity is reduced at higher than 1C draw - in fact at 2C it goes fairly linearly down from 3.7V to 2.7V, averaging around 3.2V, and then it hits the big drop off and cuts out). So the XHP70.2 at its max of 29W is around 4200 lumen (high-level bin) and so at the consumed 5W would average 700 lumen over four hours (~900 dropping to ~700 lumens after 2 hours and ~500 after 4 hours). This corresponds closer to what I would estimate by eye. So 5000mW and close to 1000 lumen at the start, not 10000 lumen. Though the 700-900 lumen is still very bright with a good clear throw. The maximum power of the most expensive bin for the XHP70.2 four LED module is 4292 lumen (less than half) with the module rated at a max of 2.9W or 2900mW. My estimate is that the battery is close to 5000mAh so four hours corresponds to close to 0.25C or 1250mA or 5000mW at Hi and full battery (**** goes from 4.2 to 3.8V in the first 120min, which then triggers as *** for another 100mins or so down to around 3.6V, then around 15 mins at ** down to ~3.45V and around 15 mins at * down to ~3.3V then at least 15 mins at a rather dim 0 stars where it cuts out at around ~2.8V (possibly due to the battery protection circuit rather than a torch cutout).
