About this deal

You could want a full frequency range output or the standard radio-like frequency. Condenser microphones primarily go all the way up to 20KHz, making it more open and sensitive since there is a lot more air. Considering the price, it’s reasonably solid (I mean, it could be made of plastic, so), but it’s definitely not a mic that feels like it was hand-crafted by German engineers, by any means. Build quality: Bottom Line Dynamic mics have a diaphragm, a voice coil, and a magnet surrounded by the voice coil. Sound waves bombard the diaphragm, and it causes the vibration of the voice coils, and the movements around the magnet convert the sound waves to electrical signals. This microphone is highly recommended for someone who is just starting out in audio recording and needs to learn the ropes

The design and size of the room will influence how your voice or the sound you are recording gets captured by the microphone. In a large room, you are bound to experience more reverb than you would in a small space.Actually, it’s an electret condenser, which is basically a cheap and easily manufacturable version of the condenser capsule, not all that different from what you’d find in your iPhone or in a cheap karaoke mic.

Although small, cheap cardioid microphones that offer some great performance have been popular for decades, with the increase in people getting involved in online streaming, YouTube videos, and becoming social media influencers, we have noticed more and more people reaching out with a bunch of questions around various different types of entry-level microphones. With the Neewer nw700 being one of the most popular entry-level microphones on the market with an absolutely massive customer base, it is not surprising that we have noticed so many people reaching out with questions about this excellent little mic. Qucs supports predicted frequency response of the system, as shown in Fig. 8. As shown by the “ac simulation” data on Fig. 6, the simulator was configured for a logarithmic sweep from 1 Hz to 20 kHz in 2001 steps. Fig. 8 shows the sweep displayed from 10 Hz to 20 kHz. The frequency response is shown on linear vertical scale in volts, so a difference between 0.25V to 0.5V is ±3 dB. You’ll also notice that the NW 800 is only 15cm or so in length (where most condenser mics are a good 20cm plus in length), which tells you that the capsule inside is probably a compact electret style one. Microphone design: Bottom Line

In addition, the condenser microphone also comes with a durable and an adjustable scissor arm stand.

As you look at the available microphones, you will notice that they are designed for different purposes. One good thing about this is that it is an XLR microphone. This means that if you want to upgrade to something better in future you can easily do so. Hypercardioid microphones tend to have a pronounced rear bulb, due to the type of mic capsules required to generate that kind of side rejection. Polar pattern: Bottom LineLet’s look at what may happen, beginning at the electret microphone as shown in the right diagram of Fig. 3. Nearly all electret microphone capsules have a junction-type field effect transistor (JFET) inside the case, to convert the extremely high impedance of the electret element to a useful value for the following circuitry. The NW 800 has a similar frequency response to the 700, in that it’s definitely most pronounced up in the top end.
