‎St. Jude (15th Anniversary Edition) - Album by Courteeners

It was produced by Stephen Street and has been remastered for its 15th anniversary by John Davis at Metropolis Studios, who also mastered the album back in 2008. But while one struggles to review this album without mentioning the Arctic Monkeys (lyrical content, northern sneer, minimal guitar effects) or even the Kaiser Chiefs (musical bounce on the opener, Aftershow) there's still something about this band's drive that suggests that they may have more to offer. His full length debut on Daptone Records is equal parts raw feeling and elegance and exudes confidence and charm. All the band's profits from the release of this single were donated to UK housing and homeless charity "Shelter". Courteeners' Liam Fray on how jamming to The Strokes and nights out in Manchester inspired 'Not Nineteen Forever' ". I can’t think of any better way to celebrate than to make the pilgrimage to Heaton Park with like-minded souls and lose ourselves like it’s 2008.
