Like most long time fair goers, we love to mix up the classics with the wild and creative new foods the vendors introduce each year. I started by adding the pipe of the top of the mask. I added a box the the left of the mask for the pipe to come out of. This was painted and dry brushed to tie it in to the rest of the mask. The pipe needed to meet something on the other side of the mask so I added a piece of balsa wood, with a plumbing fitting on the top. This resembles the original mask. Located in East St. Paul, Brunson’s Pub is an awesome dive bar that we think has one of the most underrated burgers in the Twin Cities. Of course, no Minnesota dive bar would be complete without some delicious cheese curds. And Brunson’s passes this test with flying colors. Their curds are authentically local, too – they use St. Paul’s very own Summit Beer in their beer batter.
