There are a lot of guying points at the rear, but not so many at the front; in particular, none to the front corner. We have bought the extension, which we have yet to try out, but that should give us much more room, probably making us use the tent for longer trips, and the awning with the van for weekend trips.

The Berghaus Air 6 has a generous standing room that allows families to move around freely and socialise with one another more.With not having had a tent before the tightness issue could have been thought of that that was how it was supposed to be, especially to newcomers to this area. We bought a front extension last year and now use it as the kitchen area, leaving more living space inside the tent. It is possible to guy out either of the two doors - there are holes provided for “king posts”, but I just guyed out the front door without posts to let a bit of air in whilst providing shelter – if king posts are used the door would interfere with the centre front guyline (easily temporarily removed, I suppose). All fabrics are fire retardant and for extra security, the zipper stoppers on the tent doors ensure that zips are always within easy reach in the event of an emergency, even for children. Dismantling and packing up is easy; the bedroom inner can be left attached, and the bag is big enough to take the tent and poles once you get the knack of rolling it up (fold in half, and then into 3; then roll up from the rear).
