About this deal

This hilarious picture book is a rip-roaring read-aloud guide to 100 different feathered friends. Full of endless funny details, silly scenarios, and a rare bird to spot, this is a book to read again and again. If you've got one or two willing adults, ask them to dress up as a dinosaur. You can then play lots of games that involve them chasing the kids around the room.

Have fun with reading this story aloud dramatically, including the sound effects. There is lots to look at in the illustrations and children may well want to talk about some of the diggersaurs. Join in Diggersaurs is currently one of Casper’s favourite books - combining dinosaurs with diggers was definitely a winning combination! A simple way to keep younger kids entertained is to set up a play table or play area with sand and toy dinosaurs. They'll spend ages playing in it. You can change 'What's the time Mr Wolf' to 'What's the time Mr Dinosaur'. Or keep it simple by lining kids up at one side or a room or garden and placing the dinosaurs in the middle. Love this book. Excited to keep developing the actions with the children into a music and movement session. If you read this story often, children will remember the words and be able to join in as you read. They will enjoy the sound effects and may like making them with their voices or improvised instruments. The end papers are fun for this too, you could take turns saying the sounds. Tell the story

Can your guests transport their dino egg safely to its nest without dropping it? And who will get there first?Have read this one a lot to my preschoolers (3-5 years) and each time we read it we add more actions and sound effects to the retelling. It has almost become a movement session in its own right! From dinosaur party games to the best dinosaur-themed party food, we've got everything you need to throw a totally ROAR-some kids' dinosaur party! DIGGERSAURS EXPLORE is a delightful sequel to the book taking the toddler world by storm! Whether you have a little one who loves construction vehicles or dinosaurs, diggersaurs are a charming expansion of these concepts into a cohesive story. In this book, the diggersaurs that we met in the first book are going exploring. They hope that they will find gold or maybe something old. Along the way, they encounter challenges that the diggersaurs use their special skills to solve (for instance, huge grassy bumps that the mowersaurus mows while the rollersaurus rolls them flat). Less ambitious than Chris Gall’s widely known Dinotrux (2009) and sequels, this British import systematically relegates each dinosaur/construction-equipment hybrid to its most logical job. Let people know your party theme from the off with a dinosaur party invite. You can buy ready made invites, design your own using pictures you find online, or even have your kids create their very own designs.
