The perfect waterborne lacquer to choose when you want to retain the natural look and feel of untreated wood.

Dry environment and higher temperature may require an increased 'open time' of the lacquer, which can be achieved with adding Bona Retarder to finish. Its innovative formulation has proven perfectly suited to floors with high movement, planks and underfloor heating. It has a slight warming colouration and establishes long-lasting protection for wooden floors in domestic and medium wear commercial environments.The six primers offer colouration whilst the lacquer range includes high performance formulations that deliver all the durability and sheen levels you need for a domestic, commercial or sports installation. With a low VOC level and no side-bonding Mega is also perfect for surfaces with underfloor heating and plank floors. Bona Mega is a one-component waterborne 100% polyurethane finish for the surface treatment of wooden floors in commercial and domestic areas subject to heavy wear. Bona Mega outperforms other waterborne finishes when tested for ease of scuff removal, chemical resistance, scratch resistance, wear resistance and ease of stain removal. Where a longer drying time is required due to high temperature and/or low humidity, Bona Retarder can be added to the varnish to increase the 'open time' of the product.

For filling small gaps between floor boards and skirting boards, use Bona Gap Master Filler, 310 mm. Overcoating Bona White primer with Bona Mega is not recommended if you are looking to achieve a true white look. Bona Mega Floor Lacquer "Easy to use water-based floor lacquer, with excellent durability for domestic and light commercial use. Allow lacquer to reach room temperature, insert filter and shake the container thoroughly before use.

We laid down 200 year old wooden pine floors in our flat last year, and the people we hired sealed the floors with something and we just knew it didn’t look sealed. Primers help with adhesion between the varnish and floor and can help with the colouration of the final finish. Wooden floors should never be saturated with water as part of a cleaning routine as this will significantly reduce longevity and performance of the finish. For maintenance and upkeep of the surface, floors can be overcoated at intervals with additional coats of lacquer.Highly suitable for floors with underfloor heating and/or moving floors such as end grain or plank floors. Previously waxed, polished or oiled floors cannot be overcoated with Bona Mega unless sanded back to bare wood.
