In The Cutie Mark Mix-Up, Sunny and Hitch disagree over whose responsibilities are more difficult. When their cutie marks and personalities are accidentally switched by Sparky, they decide to take on each others' jobs, with the struggle to do so giving them a newfound respect for each other.

The whole illustrations can be used as place settings or posters, while Pony cut-outs could be strung together for bunting or turned into festive mobiles. In The Cutie Mark Mix-Up, Izzy is present for the public opening of the garden, and she helps round up the animals that were scared by the ponies stampeding into it. In The Traditional Unicorn Sleep-Over, Izzy meets Misty and invites her to be part of a traditional Bridlewood sleepover. When Misty suddenly leaves, Izzy is heartbroken and admits that she's been missing Bridlewood. Her friends help cheer her up by redecorating their sleeping area to look like Bridlewood. In Hoof Done It?, Izzy is briefly interrogated by Zipp over the whereabouts of Sunny's missing lantern. Izzy admits that she briefly used the lantern to look for tea leaves to help with her insomnia and returned it after. After getting her Alicorn powers, Sunny gains the ability to sport a long, glowing, golden holographic-like horn with a pair of large, feathered-wings to match. In addition, she now wore her mane in a loose, swirl-like hairstyle at the bottom, with rainbow-colored streaks.Ion&/or Proselyte meet the sea-ponies while in their natural forms; Ion in his cetacean (whale) form and Proselyte in his cephalopod (octopus) form. Comedic interaction ensues ( and possibly a musical number... ), as well as adventurous actions under the seas as the water-themed Entities prove their worth to them. The end-result is that valuable allies (if not friends) are gained for use much later in the story.

In Have You Seen This Dragon?, Sunny attempts to alert ponies about Sparky's disappearance, but she is inadvertently sabotaged by Izzy's own efforts. She ultimately manages to bring her friends together for a coordinated search effort. Whenever one of the rings speaks, it's bolded, surrounded by parentheses, and italicized, like so: ( = Text. = ).
