About this deal

The DD8L Zambezi is a top-end Meaco dehumidifier that's a step up in features, performance and price from the standard DD8L. It has a slightly larger capacity of 8 litres per day, making it suitable for homes with up to 5 bedrooms. It also comes with Meaco's Energy Saving Laundry+ mode and a range of additional features. Meaco recommends that you place the 25L in a small room with the doors and windows closed. They also recommend setting the 25L next to the washing so the dry air can hit as large an area of the washing as possible. A setup we replicated for this test. Other features include an optional HEPA filter, energy efficient design, humidity selection (30-80%) and front-loading water tank. The machine also has a laundry drying mode and two fan speeds, so you can reduce energy usage and noise when needed. Arete has a large, 4.8 litre tank. Getting it out of the unit and carrying it to the sink or emptying point needed to be straightforward. So we investigated how other tanks are removed, and what is the best way, ergonomically, to manage the process.

Founded in 1991, the company originally focused on technologyto maintain air quality in museums. It wasn't until 2009 that they began using their expertise to produce domestic dehumidifiers. Since then, Meaco has rapidly grown in popularity and sells their dehumidifiers throughout the world. There are two ranges of Meaco dehumidifier. The first is the standard range, which contains models such as the DD8L. The second is the premium range. Premium models, such as the Low Energy, were first released in 2014 and have received a number of awards for their excellent performance. We offer both compressor dehumidifiers and desiccant dehumidifiers - giving you a choice of the right unit for your home. Desiccant dehumidifiers are ideal for basements, garages and workshops, where temperatures often fall below 10 degrees. Compressor dehumidifiers are the more popular choice for rooms where you live, and some come with HEPA filters so that they are purifying the air in your home at the same time as reducing humidity levels. We also like that the model has a huge six litre capacity. This is considerably larger than most competing models and means you won't need to empty it as often. The Meaco 20L Platinum is suitable for homes up to 5 beds and its smaller brother the Meaco 12L Platinum is suitable for homes up to 3 beds and uses even less energy (165W).Unlike the Low Energy, the DD8L is built to be l ightweight an d portable. Desiccant technology is usually lighter than refrigerant, which is why it can provide powerful performance while weighing just 6.2kg. The dimensions of 35 x 50 x 20cm also take up much less floor space than other models. A downside of this portable design is that it has a small two litre water tank. The Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer has been designed to dry your clothes and it can do so faster and cheaper than any other dehumidifier thanks to its ground breaking DC Motor, large extraction rate, high air flow and energy efficient compressor. For the first time ever you now have a viable option to a tumble dryer and if are worried about the cost of running a tumble dryer or do not have space for a tumble dryer then the Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer is the sensible alternative. Leaving clothes to dry naturally indoors during winter will result in high levels of moisture in your home which will make your house feel colder, the air more expensive to heat and could result in mould growth and condensation. At just 270 watts running costs this dehumidifier extracts water cheaper than any other 25 litre on the market and the beauty of a DC Motor is that the harder you work the dehumidifier the less energy it uses. As well as being great at drying laundry the 25L makes a sensible choice for anyone needing a dehumidifier for a larger home or a storage space.

Arete’s Night Mode is not just for night-time but anytime when you want the dehumidifier to be as quiet as possible. All costs includes parts, labour, call out and delivery charges, so you can rest assured there are no hidden costs. For smaller units we may ask you to return it to our UK repair centre. There is nothing worse than your dehumidifier breaking down just after the Manufacturer's warranty has expired. Here at Buy It Direct Ltd we want you to get the most out of your dehumidifier, which is why we offer a3 Year Warranty plan.
