About this deal

CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (PDF) by Penny Tassoni and Louise Burnham refers to an educational resource associated with a Level 2 qualification in early years education and childcare. It is not possible to complete the observations in this course using a member of staff in your placement. Observations must take place directly by the centre that runs the course. The units are based around your skills, knowledge and behaviours which you gain throughout your apprenticeship.

This qualification is designed for learners who want to develop a career in early years and are appropriate for the following roles:assistant nursery nurse, assistant early years practitioner or achildminder. You will need to be working or volunteering in a child care role, but other than that, these qualifications are suitable for anyone starting their first child care job. This qualification is nested. Qualifications within a nested suite allow learners to be topped up to a qualification that is the same level and subject within the Award, Certificate, Diploma structure. This can be done by self-service through the Portal. Inclusive Education: The resource emphasizes inclusive teaching methods, ensuring practitioners can support children with diverse needs. It may cover strategies for accommodating children with disabilities, language barriers, or behavioral challenges.

Preparation for Certification: If aligned with a certification program, the PDF helps learners prepare for the assessments and examinations necessary to obtain the CACHE Level 2 Diploma. It covers the essential knowledge and skills required for successful completion of the qualification. No, there are no exams on this course. Everything is assessed through coursework which you can submit at any time within the enrolment length. Am I assigned a tutor for this course? Learners must be aged 16 or over. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines. This course requires students to pass 12 tutor marked assignments. The qualification can be taken over a 12 month period but you can complete it as fast or as slowly as you wish. Method

Upon completion of the qualification, learners can be counted towards the statutory framework for the EYFS staff: child ratio at Level 2. Learners will be awarded a formal certificate of achievement by NCFE CACHE. Read more about NCFE CACHE. For further details of careers in the Early Years, please refer to the Early Years Progression Map: here. This course requires up to three observations. This means that somebody will need to observe you in practice. This could be in a workplace or a voluntary placement. These practical observations will be carried out by an Oxbridge Assessor (we’ll visit you) and that’s included in the course price.
