About this deal

It’s simple, refined, and most importantly beautiful. Whenever someone asks me to recommend an affordable everyday timepiece, this is one of the first watches that come to mind. And with a price of just above 100 USD, you cannot go wrong with it. And when you look at what it offers more in detail, it’s evident that this watch offers an exceptional value which not many other watch brands can compete with. The mechanical watches in the Seiko 5 collection have been enchanting watch lovers around the world since the early 1960s. It is one of the best-selling automatic watch lines worldwide and has always been aimed at sporty watch enthusiasts who are young at heart. The Seiko 5 SNXS77 is a simple, clean, and elegant watch that offers great value for money. Priced at just over 100 USD, it offers exceptional value for money. It is clean, elegant, and powered by a workhorse automatic movement. Once again, the SNXS's water resistance is on par with every other cheap Seikos. The push & pull crown only allows for 30m of water resistance, which is ok for a few splashes here and there, but nothing more.

I’m a fan of this simple, no nonsense dial design. It’s easy to read featuring a good amount of lume on the hands and hour markers for easier reading in dark conditions. The day and date display can also come in handy when required. The Seiko SNXS77 has a stainless steel strap with a standard fold over clasp. This is what you would expect on a watch that aims for functionality. The strap is 19mm wide which is just below your standard size. Everyone needs a watch that is just simply beautiful and in no way over the top. A watch that works no matter what you are wearing or for which occasion you are wearing it. The bracelet is usually the part of a watch that is compromised with the most when it comes to affordable watches. This is definitely not the best bracelet out there, but considering the price, it is what we would expect. If you are looking for a simple, clean, yet beautiful automatic everyday timepiece, the Seiko 5 SNXS77 may be the watch you are looking for.The watch has a water resistance of 30M/3ATM. This is a downside of this movement as it is certainly not a lot. It can handle water splashes but should not be submerged. At the same time, it is important to consider that this watch is made as an everyday timepiece, and therefore, good water resistance is not crucial. The Seiko 5 "Military" are among the most sought-after sports watches from the Japanese watch manufacturer. The design of these automatic watches resemble field and pilot's watches. The watch has rectangular applied hour markers which enhance the watch’s feeling of quality. The markers have applied Lumibrite on them which allows you to read the time in the dark. This is no big deal considering the low price of the Seiko SNXS and the dressy nature of the timepiece. Lume The watch has a lovely and striking sunburst dial which reflects the light beautifully. The beautiful thing about sunburst dials is that they change their personality depending on how the light hits them. This is really the star of the show.

The bracelethas a 19mm width and a fold-over clasp. Very simple in design, just like the rest of the watch. The bracelet design is clean and works very well with the design of the rest of the watch. Specifications The cleanest and most refined watch designs tend to be those that prove to be the most timeless and classic, and the Seiko 5 SNXS77 is definitely one that falls in this category. The watch has a simple yet elegant dial. This watch proves that even the most simple and clean designs can be the most beautiful. To keep the watch’s elegant design, it keeps its dial printing at a minimum. It has an ”Automatic” printing and applied Seiko and Seiko 5 logo. Seiko 5 SNXS77 Movement There is a wide array of automatic watches with designs inspired by diving watches in the Seiko 5 Sports collection. These include the refs. SRPD51K1, SRPD63K1, and SRPD55K2. The first two models belong to the Seiko 5 Sports family, while the latter is part of the Specialist series. All three watches are similar in terms of technology and design.

At least, mineral crystals have a few advantages, such as being less prone to shattering, and the surface isn't as reflective as sapphire. One more thing to touch upon is the automatic movement, now I love watches with this style of movement. They automatically wind themselves using the kinetic movement of your wrist which is an interesting feature. So today I’m doing a Seiko SNXS77 review. This is another watch that’s part of Seiko’s popular Seiko 5 series. They intended on bringing an affordable, well built, automatic watch to the market, and they definetly succeeded. All in all the Seiko SNXS77 offers exceptional value for money in my view, it’s a classic design watch so not much in the way of any fancy bells or whistles going on with the dial etc. In 2020, Seiko incorporated the 5 Sports series into the Seiko 5 collection. The collection thus comprises the Sports, Suits, Street, Specialist, and Sense series in addition to classic Seiko 5 models. While the Sports line mostly offers diving and pilot's watches, you'll find some colorful, stainless steel diving watches in the Suits line as well. The Seiko Sense and Street series are home to playful, multicolored designs. Lastly, the Specialist line features diving watches made of stainless steel, some of which have a bronze or golden exterior.

The bracelet has some play and some rattle but it is comfortable to wear, and due to its relatively lightweight, occasionally, you won’t even notice it is there. The dial on the ref. SNKE01K1 has a similar layout, but is surrounded by a stainless steel bezel with five-minute gradations. This model also uses the caliber 7S26 and costs roughly 145 USD. The ref. SNZG13K1 is paired with a three-piece link stainless steel bracelet. The ref. SNZG15K1 is an identical timepiece, but mounted on a textile strap. Both versions start at around 180 USD. A feature that might let some people down is the relatively small water resistance rating. It’s rated at 30m also know as 3 ATM. This gives you basic resistance to water, but not much more. In my opinion though, this is ok as it’s not designed for much more than day to day wear. There isn’t actually a date feature on this watch so you’ll have to decide how fussed you are about having this feature. I’m quite happy skipping out on the date feature on a watch as I honestly rarely use it. I consider them more of a style piece on a watch these days. The watch measures 38mm in diameter with a thicness of 12mm, not a bad size at all really. Some might say it’s a little smaller than the current average, but we’re only talking about 2mm or so, nothing to worry about really.
