There are various types of insulation used in the making of 2 person sleeping bags. There is synthetic insulation or down insulation. Since our test period with the Galactic 30, Kelty has changed the down filling. The previous version we tested (above, left) was insulated with 600 fill power DriDown, which Kelty has nixed on the updated Galactic (above, right), opting instead for 550 fill power down without waterproof treatment.
