I feel that the screen writers and director are treating us as though we can't properly visualize the novel material so they have to spoon feed it to us with images on a screen but they dare not add a shred of originality to the work. That drama in the novel is usually built around some sort of central conflict. This conflict creates a dramatic tension that compels the reader to read on. They want to see the outcome of that conflict resolved: the ultimate resolution of the conflict (hopefully) creates a satisfying ending to the narrative. Get people fired up with the prospect of rewards, and instead of making better decisions, as Motivation 2.0 hopes, they can actually make worse ones.”
