If you love single mom romances, please go read this! Sure it was a little cheesy at times, but it was still so freaking cute. I’m pretty hard to please when it comes to considering a romance “funny”, but I actually laughed a lot with this book and found a lot of things funny. Boys may experience NPT as young as infancy. I read this book so fast, the story is so easy going and very low on drama, which may be why I didn’t love it like I wanted to. I need some sort of conflict in my romances, not to the point where it’s unnecessary but something which proves their love for one another is real, and it all just seemed too easy in Mourning Wood. I did like the characters, Wyatt was swoony, and Whitney was sassy, and the whole mortician occupation is one I had no clue about, so I felt like I had learnt something by the end of the book. Prissy was hilarious, but she acted a lot older than 6, so it never felt believable because her vocabulary was very advanced.What’s clearer is what does not cause morning wood. For example, needing to urinate is not responsible for morning wood. Some people believe a morning erection keeps them from urinating during their sleep, but this is not true. Wyatt’s patience seems to be paying off and Whitney is beginning to see possibilities with him. She just needs to trust her heart and take that leap of faith for both her and Prissy. However, such things get hopelessly derailed when his adolescent mind beholds an exposed chest for the first time. Even though the main storyline does take place in a funeral home it still managed to be sexy, funny, adorable. If you can get passed it being about death you should totally give this a shot Wyatt and Whitney's chemistry was off the roof loved seeing the interactions with the little girl Priscilla she was 6 years old going on 30 so sassy and smart. This had blast from the past vibes but i wouldn't call it second chance trope per say.
