About this deal

Upon first glance, Buddy the Elf’s decorations seems totally over the top, but if you look closer, they’re really very neutral and minimal in style.

About a month ago, my daughter and I watched the movie Elf for a little inspiration. I had my cellphone ready for taking photos of all the scenes of the paper wonderland. You always want to start your place settings with a base of some kind. It can be a charger, placemat, scrapbook paper, etc. Then layer your plates on top of that. As a little girl, we had these old fashion lights. I spied strings of them in the Elf movie, so I decided early on that I would decorate with them. I happened to have some extra strings of outdoor lights, and I bought the ceramic white bulbs and just changed them out with the new ones. If you don’t have a white cord, then here is the link to a string of them.
